Any OR staff with tips for hydration?
lilbarn752 replied to Bioluminescence's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I work in the OR and it's hard! Any little break I get (whether scrubbing or circing) I run out and try to sip at least 8 oz! It is a challenge though--I try to drink a majority in the am before work and at my breaks and lunch then sip all the way home! Good luck! I absolutely LOVE the OR! -
Any WA state sleevers with surgeries coming up?
lilbarn752 replied to kadie777's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How did your surgery go? How are you feeling? Who did you go through? My surgery went well! Surgeon said everything looked good. Was up and walking after an hour and they had me drinking Water right away. Day 2 post op is a little tough I'm just super sore but no nausea or anything like that which I'm thankful for! I went with Dr. Michaelson through Northwest Weight Loss Surgery--he is amazing and the staff were wonderful! Best of luck on your journey! -
6 month non-surgical weight loss regimen?
lilbarn752 replied to ojibway's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to meet with my PCP 3x in a 6 month period. Insurance gave me paperwork for my PCP to fill out with questions like what diet am I doing, how much exercise am I getting, and a list of things to discuss like eating without distractions, stopping soda, etc. Very easy! -

how long is the Gastric Sleeve surgery ?
lilbarn752 replied to boosh10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor said it'd be a hour and 13 minutes he ended up taking a hour and 15 haha. I went back at 915 and got visitors in my recovery room at 1130. -
I know this has been asked but just curious how your tattoos look after the sleeve. I'm hoping to get sleeved come November (my 6 months of medically supervised diet is up in September). I have a tattoo on my ribs that I got when I was thinner so I'm not too worried about that one--but I have a sugar skull on my upper arm and am concerned with how it will look after a (hopefully) 100+ lb weight loss. All the fat seems to be under my arm but you never know. Any insight is helpful!
