Lose the yogurt and the apple sauce. The yogurt being low cal is probably making up for taste through added sugar. The apple sauce, although seemly healthy is another form of sugar. Replace those with more protein or something 100% sugar free and little to no carb. The sodium, even low sodium, in the Progresso soup might cause some water retention. For exercising, carry some weights on the walk. That's my two cents

To Sleeve or Not to Sleeve - that is the question...

What state are you in? Changes made from ACA (Obamacare) requires that insurers cover it. Google "ACA WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY" to check your state or click here http://www.bariatric-surgery-source.com/obamacare-weight-loss-surgery.html -

Help! Kaiser or Anthem BC (in California)?
DoOverWLS replied to prowinewoman's topic in Insurance & Financing
Just a quick update... I'm going to stick with WLA. It's just closer and linked to my home hospital, Woodland Hills. Doctor will do the revision all at once. Since my band has been empty since August and my upper GI came back normal, he doesn't expect any issues once he goes in. I'll also have to go through the Options classes. I've accepted it and will go through the motions while I try not to gain any more weight. Plus I'm so crazy busy at work right now that I wouldn't know how to pass it off while I'm out. At least this way I can have a good plan in place. I expect to have surgery in August. -

Did you ever see Dr. Um? I have an appt with him tomorrow. -
ISO100... Cookies and Cream!... Mixes well with just shaking. No gritty/vitamin taste.

Papaya enzyme!!!! It helps with digestion by breaking down the food. You can get it at health food stores, for sure. I never needed to use it, but I heard it works wonders. Good luck!

Help! Kaiser or Anthem BC (in California)?
DoOverWLS replied to prowinewoman's topic in Insurance & Financing
Wow! My PCP put in the referral today and I have a connection in Health Ed to get an idea if I'll have to go through the classes. It depends on what my PCP entered for the referral and how they feel about why I'm making the decision for the revision. I'll take whatever path they lay out. I want it done so that I can have a do-over and finally have some success. One more question... Did you have you have your procedure at West LA (Cadillac)? -

Help! Kaiser or Anthem BC (in California)?
DoOverWLS replied to prowinewoman's topic in Insurance & Financing
Was the 12/15 date with the surgeon or your KP PCP? I have my PCP appt tomorrow (2/23). I'm looking to do a revision of my lap band (cash pay outside KP) to sleeve. I can only hope my timetable is as quick as yours. -
I hope you find your sweet spot and get the success you want. After I lost what I felt like was comfortable weight, I had my band unfilled thinking I could do the rest on my own. Not! When I returned to the doctor, after multiple visits, I could never find that sweet spot again. Too full, not full enough. I had it completely unfilled in August and have slowly put on weight. I have an appt with my Kaiser PCP tomorrow seeking a referral for band to sleeve revision. My advice is when you find your sweet spot... Leave it alone or it will forever be lost. Best of luck to you.
