Awesome rosemary! Did you have a band removal? It's the best decision I've ever made for myself!

Thanks everyone, I hope you all will have success or continue it as well. The bypass is so different than the band and so much better!

Today, for the first time in 24 years, I weigh < 200 lbs! I am a band to bypass revision patient. Surgery was 3/23/15 and including the 15 I lost right before surgery, I'm down 60 lbs. It was quite emotional for me, but very uplifting too. I'm off my b/p meds and working out 5-6 days a week. I feel GREAT and this bypass is the best the decision ever! thanks for listening to me Celebrate

What a story!! Be proud and thanks for sharing it!! -
Msspicey- Wow you sure have been through alot recently. I wish you all the best on Friday and can't wait ti hear from you after Yes, on the 30/60 rule. I need to stop drinking 30 minutes prior to eating and wait 60 afterwards. The 60 part is a bigger challenge but I know this is a very crucial part in staying full in the long run. Not really hungry much now due to the recent surgery. Take care

How can you 'eat' food so soon after RNY?

I believe every surgeon and bariatric clinic has slightly different rules to follow. I've heard differences in "the rules" many times here and other places. My bariatric center has tons of support in many different delivery systems and no one ever mentions bending the rules, so I plan to do my best to stick with what I've been taught. Good luck -
Thanks msspicey for the kind thoughts! Well one week ago today, i was about to be taken in to the OR. The week had many ups and downs, but mainly ups. The first 2 days were really hard. I'm a revision patient so the pain was much worse this time for me than with the band. When you hear "a little better each day", believe that. Had to sty 2 nights and have a drain, again because of the revision. Today I start blenderized food, all liquids prior. Also need to start the 30/60 rule as well. Just wanted to update. I see my surgeon on Thursday and decided not to weigh myself till then. All in all, going very well....

I don't blame you a bit...I know the feeling of wanting it out. I hope all turns out well for you!
-
I hope it works out for you.... Have you had all the Fluid removed from your band? This is the only thing that helped me.
-
My surgery date is 3/23 too Carolina. Good Luck to you
