Six weeks out and not feeling restriction? Is this normal?
New Me 2015 replied to nycchef76's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When you have been eating do you start to hiccup or burp? I was told that for some people that is a sign that your sleeve has had enough and to stop. I don't feel the restriction all the time but I do get the hiccups and then I stop. -

New Me 2015 replied to Roserie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone I was sleeved on March 16 So I was a month out this past April 16 So far I've lost 23 lbs since surgery I'm now on soft foods and I'm so glad to be one step closer to regular food. Haven't had any nausea or vomiting only thing is the constipation which my nutritionist said now eating more normal foods should help. I'm so glad I found this board you have all helped me prior to and after my sleeve. Here are my pics so far- day prior to surgery and 1 month post op -

What are your favorite Quest Nutrition products?
New Me 2015 replied to foreversleeved08's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
How much protein is in a quest bar? I couldn't find it online. Thanks -
I'm not anywhere close to eating "real food" yet. I had my sleeve on 3/16/15 and still on full liquids. My question is for people who are far enough along to be eating real food. For breakfast do you ever have cereal or a pancake or a waffle? Not all the time just maybe once in awhile. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your replies. I do have a pancake recipe from the nutritionist that I may try down the road. I had made it once or twice before surgery and it wasn't that bad. I appreciate all of you taking the time to respond! Here is the recipe if anyone would like it: 1/2 cup oats ( uncooked) 2 eggs or 4 egg whites 1/2 cup cottage cheese Blend together with some cinnamon and a little vanilla Cook up pancakes It made 4-5 pancakes I ate maybe 2 and froze the rest. They reheated good too

Hi everyone! I was sleeved on March 16. Surgery went well no complications. So far so good. I'm pretty close to getting in my 64oz of water. I did clear liquids on post op day 1 and 2. I'm on my 6th day of full liquids. Thursday I start pureed. I haven't had any nausea yet and am getting about 45 gm of protein so far each day. Moving around better this week. Every once in awhile if I turn or move a certain way the incision near my belly button stings. Stopped pain med last week( basically only used it before bed). I know so far everything has been going smoothly. I feel like I'm waiting for something to go wrong. Looks like I've lost 10 lbs since surgery. My insurance co did end up approving my surgery. They made me go through so many hoops for them. Worst was I had to do 6 months of nutrition counseling. I also had to get chest X-ray, blood work,EKG, and have an EGD done and an ultrasound of my abdomen. I'm 47 yrs old, 5'2" and my weight day of surgery was 201lbs. My first visit to my surgeon was back on 9/4 and I was 221lbs. I've been over 200 lbs since 1990. My top weight at one point was 240lbs. I tried and failed almost every diet out there. It took me 5 years going back and forth if I was going to have this surgery. I'm happy with my decision. Thanks for reading! I have read some great stories here and can't wait to share more with others.

I was sleeved 3/16/15. Lost 10 lbs so far since surgery. I'm on full liquids. I start pureed food on Thursday. I'm getting so sick of these super sweet protein drinks. Every Time I think of drinking another one I cringe!
