Oh no! Drink with caution! I'm dreading having to take my 2 oz before bed. Will the Dr make you drink a third?! Hopefully not. I now have this fear of crapping on the table! Ha. Hopefully its done and over with by the time I have to leave tonight!
-
I had late c sections and they weren't too bad. I slept in and kept myself occupied until it was time to go in. I think my struggle will be after since I'll be up by 10 or so and then have all day yet. Probably an early bed time to keep my mind off of it! My husband likes watching my 600 lb life or whatever its called. He said there's a new episode on tomorrow so hopefully settle in for the night while that's on.

Oh my gosh, Good luck! Have a bottle of water ready. I didn't care for the taste. Wasn't the most awful thing but the thickness is what got me
-
A whole bottle?! Oh good lord I only had to drink 2 oz. And the side effects kicked in right away! I was also told to shower tonight. I don't have to use those medicated cloths, was told to shower as normal but no shaving. I think I'll probably just use soap instead of my scented body wash just in case.

Ah pillow, must not forget that and a fleece blanket! I haven't picked up gas-x yet but I heard that to be helpful. I'm hoping I survive the first day. As of midnight no liquids no nothing and it sounds like I won't be able to drink anything until after my swallow test the following morning

I have my bag some what packed. What are you all bringing? Ive got a robe, slippers, couple changes of clothes since I hate the hospital gowns and that "sick" feeling, tablet, headphones, ChapStick lip gloss, and lotion.
-
I had to take milk of magnesia as of last night at bed time. Let me tell you it is not fun! Again tonight plus a long car ride should be interesting tomorrow morning.
-
Any 25th-ers getting excited?! Ive got a busy night tonight, and have to leave around 230am to get checked into hospital by 5. I hope it flies by!
-
How did your pre op go? Mine is in the clear. Liquid diet all day today and have to be to the hospital bright and early tomorrow morning at 5.
-
Im glad I got an early time. I'm not a big morning eater anyways so not being able to eat or drink anything before hand will be easy. Plus I have a two and a half hour drive to get up there. Being awake at 2am is not what I had planned but it'll be good because I'll be tired!
-
What time is your surgery? Mines bright and early at 730 am. Have to be at hospital at 5am
-
Oh. Your lucky! I am congested in one nostril and am scared to call and ask for something because nurse said call and get antibiotic if needed but surgeon said it would be canceled if I got sick/needed antibiotic because its considered elective. I'm hoping its due to allergies or my husbands dog (allergic to pet dander)
-
Was the zpak part of preop? I didn't have to have one of those. Although my nurse told me to call if I felt like I was coming down with something so I could be put on antibiotics before surgery.
-
Ive got my pre op physical and blood work today! I'm so nervous my hemoglobin level is going to be low again and that they're going to cancel
-
Did your surgery end up post poned? I go in tomorrow for the testing and am worried my levels may be low. My surgery is scheduled for the 25th
-
I am absolutely over the moon. I finally got a tentative surgery date! I have 3-5 lbs I HAVE to lose yet before its a for sure thing but I'm so excited. This call today has given me the extra motivation to continue with my liquid diet.
-
Had my teaching appointment! I'm BELOW my goal weight they had set! Surgery is a go and from the sounds of it no liquid diet until one day before. I'm beyond happy.
-
I'm also a distance from where I'm having surgery done. I'm about two and a half hours from my hospital! Sleeping that morning will probably sound good!
-
I'm march 25th as well! Bright and early at 730 am. Have to be checked in by 530!
-
No last dinner here. I'd probably eat too much and try to convince myself that it was fine. Jello seems to help. Ive got the labels taped to the inside of snack cupboard so I'm constantly reminded when I'm tempted to give in. I'm not supposed to chew gum per Dr's orders after surgery but it helps to have it right now to keep my mouth busy. I also have games (mainly solitaire) on my phone and tablet and play those to keep my mind off of things and also when I feel hungry and tempted. So far it has helped.

I'm not sure! My final appt for testing and with the dr is march 6th. Do you know when you start yours? I'm currently already replacing two meals a day with body fortress protein shakes. So adding in another for super shouldn't be too hard but we will see. Ive stocked up on sugar free jello and crystal lite already and that helps me get thru the first two meals

I'm also a march bypass! March 25 if everything goes as planned. Fingers crossed -
So frustrated! Not covered 100%

Oh no! That's got to be an awful feeling. Hopefully it isn't a whole heck of a lot. I'm surprises they didn't tell you your surgery was elective before hand! -
I was put on a meal replacement twice a day and small supper for three week in hopes I'd lose the last few pounds needed. My Dr is adamant that all of pre op recommended weight loss is lost so my PA recommended this. I go in on March 6th to meet Dr and do my testing, so well see if she has me on a complete liquid diet for two weeks after that! I'm so excited but nervous at the same time. I think mainly about the weight loss before hand. Praying to god I see 252 on that scale on the 6th! I'd love to stay in touch since we have such close dates. It would be great to be able to share experience with someone else. I'm having RNY.

Hi there! My Dr. put me on liquid diet for next two weeks in hopes I'll lose the last bit of weight needed before surgery. My only question is how much should I expect to lose? I know everyone is different but any insight would be helpful!
