For my post op liquid diet I can only have milk, yogurts, protein drinks, and broth. Its a very boring diet. Im starting to hate protein drinks.

Thats a really good idea. I've been using a tervis cup thats 24 ounces and trying to tell myself to finish it before my next meal. Its definitely helping me get closer to my goal each day.

Well my loan got denied. I'm not really sure what to do now. All I know is I have to save money as fast as I can.

My husband and I's credit is not very good but we applied for a medical loan anyways to cover what my insurance can't or won't cover. I'm so nervous about hearing back from the loan company. I'm afraid that if this doesn't pan out it'll be my last chance at getting my surgery. I know its out of my hands right now but it doesn't make me any less nervous. Anyone out there with less than great credit get a medical loan?

@@lexiemustang I looked up care credit and my doctor doesn't approve it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

What was the hardest part of your decision?
ambwolfe posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me the hardest part of making the decision for surgery was having to put trying to have kids on hold. My husband and I have been trying for a while but I honestly believe my weight is stopping us. I just had to tell myself that after surgery I will be so much healthier and I can be a better example of healthy living for my future children. -

@@Rocky1 I'm not sure. I've only heard about the gas x strips. They're on my list of pre surgery items to get. -

I've heard a lot of people suggest gasx strips too because during the surgery they pumps air in you. After surgery a lot of people get gas pains. -
I'm not sure what they base their decision on though. I'm sure it depends on bmi.
-
I'm still preop with no surgery date, but I was wondering if there was anyone local around.
-
That's who I have insurance and with my bmi all I need is a psych evaluation for them to cover it. I still have to at my deductible though and all that. It was a much easier process than I anticipated.

ARE THERE ANY GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY CENTER'S IN LOUISIANA/TEXAS/MISSISSIPPI?
ambwolfe replied to BackToBeautiful's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
In Lafayette LA Lafayette General has a bariatric team. I'm going with Dr. Eschete. You go to a seminar they have twice a month and go from there. They have weekly support groups for pre and post op patients. -
