I'm going through pre op testing and I can tell you i have felt my first negative vibes. One of the girls I work with had something to say while she sat next to my best friend . My aunt had nothing to say as in she hasn't talked to me since my descion but I've learned to lean on the people that support me . I'm only 26 and my blood pressure was 179 over 99 and I was nearing 400 lbs I was shocked . You may be able to do it on your own pre op but this surgery will keep you going it's a tool no a resolution . You need to change regardless and sometimes we need help. I changed my diet now because that's less I'll have to loss later and I've already lost 25 lbs I'm 2 months pre op. It's not something you need to defend yourself with.

I have my endoscopy on Thursday, I'm a little nervous! I've never been under anesthesia at all, so it'll be a first. The doctor made me feel really comfortable at the consult though, so I'm going to try to relax. Let us know how it goes! I got my cardiac clearance yesterday, so this train is rollin! how did your endoscopy go ? ! Mines April 23rd Start my cardiac clearance and my at home sleeping study this week !

Gasto doctor today . The medical procedures completely terrify me . If I was going to back out that would be why lol hopefully I hold it together. Lol like never even had a cavity so major surgery sometimes freaks me out

Did my Lung and sleep doctor today. I am not a fan of the breathing tests kinda sucked lol not terrible but

I was wondering what everyone is doing with their eating habits now? Normal or eating healthier any protein shakes ? My nutrionist has me on one protein shake and two meals a day just veggies and protein for dinner. Than in may I go to two shakes a day and one meal . Than June 3 shakes till surgery.

I didn't wasn't required to do a pre op diet but I didn't want a complete culture shock so I tried to eat healthier and high protein. I just went to the surgeon yesterday lost 15 lbs in a month ! And I don't even feel like I tried to lose weight just trying to prepare

I absolutely understand I don't take it offensively ! Lol there is a motivate behind the madness. When I am ready I think I'll change it but since I'm still pre op I feel like I need to remember why I'm starting this. I was 200 lbs at 18 went up to 385 by my age now which is 26. My mom died when I was 18 and I just gained like crazy and I think because I was on my own right out of high school with everything no one wanted to tell me. I felt like no one would hold me accountable for my weight gain when they should of. So I feel like the other fat person that you say it's okay because of this or you have a pretty face so it doesn't matter. when in reality it really did matter and I need to hold myself accountable. There is a motivation in there lol but I do appreciate the suggestion and am not offended at all.

If you could have done one thing that you didn't , to prepare for life after surgery what would it be ?

Maybe it varies per plan but I have a nutrionist and psyche evaluation that's it

Met with my nutritionist ! Got my pysch clearance meeting with surgeon tomorrow again ! It's coming fast hopefully I finish all my doctors by mid April just to be done

Had mine yesterday she asked some basic questions family history married kids and diets I've tried literally sounded like a form she was filling out for the surgeon it was that easy maybe 10 minutes she told me she was approving me five minutes in

Had my psych evaluation and nutrionist consulation first time I got excited cause now I'm like yes this is really happening

Had mine today too pretty easy . She pretty much just asked me enough to fill out the clearance form and than said I was too intelligent for my job and should consider the medical field lol

my insurance doesn't require it . I asked that first because I didn't have have a primary but now I do so even if down the line it's an issue she's all for it.
