CONGRATS! This makes me nervous because day of your surgery I start my two week diet it's coming so fast

I met with my surgeon for the first time before even mentioning it to my primary. We talked about my history which surgery we should do etc. Than I met with the billing lady and she goes June 10th? I was like oh for my next appointment ? No your surgery date. ... I know every insurance varies but now I'm just nervous that was way too easy it actually scared me lol. She says the only requirements from my insurance is a psychology and nutrition consultant . I'm just curious if any one Had a similar experience.

Congrats ! I love all these progress posts it's always motivation. I get sleeved in june and plan on not updating anyone on my progress till 6 months when I'm at disney world lol

originally that was my plan too ! Just one or two people to know but I caved slowly and I was really surprised how supportive people were . Some I was suprised weren't actually one family member didn't talk to me for like couple weeks but doesn't phase me. I just think once I'm losing weight they're going to say how proud they are and I'm just going to be like where were you in the beginning

Yeah they started me on protein shakes a month ago. One a day only and than my multivitamins this month I start two shakes a day. My nutrionist is very on point about this stuff lol so she's like start now. They sell their own brand of shakes and multivitamin the multivitamin is like taking a shot because it's pretty gross

Exactly I can already see people changing towards me. Do they have you on any shakes or anything yet

The nervous part hasn't really hit me yet I'm just super anxious . A lot of different opinions about it but it's my life not theirs. How about you ?

All my pre op doctors are cleared just waiting on my insurance finally done

Not every insurance requires weight history. I'm 26 a 53 and weigh 380 I didn't need to have weight history only 3 month diet surgery is scheduled june 10th usually the surgeons office should know right away what you need. I went in there automatically asking if I needed weight history cause I didn't have insurance since I was 18. It really depends on your insurance and surgeon

omg I was too lol I didn't sleep last night and I almost cried waiting today but honestly you get in the room in maybe 5 secs your asleep and you wake up back in the room . I can't believe how scared I was when it was so easy If my throat wasn't a little sore I would think I dreamed it lol

Did my endoscopy wasn't as terrible as I thought officially done with pre op doctors finally waiting insurance approval

Never been under anesthesia for anything so I think that's what freaks me out a bit. I have it at like 6am I'm hoping I'll be so tired I won't be nervous

My first consulation was February 12th My gastro is on Thursday not excited at all

I'm from new Jersey also ! Old bridge new jersey my surgeon is Dr sadek . All I have left is the gastro did the psychtrist cardiac nutrionist and pulmonary surgery date is June 10th. make sure for insurance purposes you follow up that all these approvals are getting faxed to the surgeons . Found out today that my nutrionist never faxed my evaluation so now I'm double checking that everyone sends it all over

Glad saw this post since people started get approvals I figured I d ask about it to my surgeon . Apparently they were waiting for my nutrionist who I saw first 3 months ago .. are u kidding .. and the surgeon s office was like you might not get a descion till day before a little disheartening

That's strange too because my surgeon is completely against the band they won't do it mostly sleevers a few gastric

I did that. It's not terrible just annoying cause you are breathing in a machine that feels like a snorkel in your mouth. I drooled a lot but I guess they are used to it . Lol just a lot of deep breathing

Use it as motivation people that don't support you now will praise you later. I've had a couple family members give me a hard time but they also have been a size 5 their entire lives. I can't complain about my boyfriend he's even started drink protein shakes himself to help me

Update had my Last surgeon check in the words of my surgeon "the next time I'll see you is in the or " well geez that's scary lol did my cardiac all I have left is my upper gi and ultra sound week before only 52 days till june 10th ! Eh needs to hurry
