The most painful part for me the entire bed was how uncomfortable I was in the hospital bed lol like I'm more sore from that than the surgery itself -

I've been pretty good don't get me wrong it's painful it is surgery but I wasn't in a lot. If you can tolerate the pain try not to get on the strong meds cause I kept telling them I was in pain and it's not bad so they never put in morphine they kept me on tylenol so being home they gave me tylenol making the transition easier. Some people go on morphine at the hospital and are like it's not terrible but than get home and are miserable. The gas pain is real but if you walk the minute you wake up it will start moving and be less intense. I still have it now but very small -

Less than a week what if stage
theotherfatgirl posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm sure everyone goes through it I'm having surgery June 10th and starting to get nervous and panic. When you start looking up complications or thinking what if I wake up in extreme pain lol. Any tips for just calming down. I've been completely calm up till now I guess I just didn't think it was actually happening . I mean I never even had a cavity let alone major medical procedures so any advice would be great ! -

I may end up July at this rate. My insurance just received my paper work and my surgery is in a week ! I'm on liquids so fingers crossed that all goes through this week but I seriously doubt it I'll be in liquids for a month at this rate. -
So I'm finally done with all my pre op doctors and insurance is ready to receive paper work. I'm scheduled for surgery June 10th and I've been stressing that somehow I might get denied. I feel like my surgeons office has been very hands off not really stressing approval at all. I see people getting approval months in advance when mine hasn't been submitted with a month away and they are very well you have plenty of time. Lol should I stress or be doing something else or do most surgeons offices have it handled

Insurance
theotherfatgirl replied to theotherfatgirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Of course ! I call my insurance like everyday and they say the process hasn't even been started through them. Mean while my surgeons office is saying it's all set. The hospital told me my Co pay and are like you wouldn't be this far if you weren't approved ... the struggle I feel the same way Completely stresssedddddd like I can't even relax. I'm postive my insurance hasn't recieved paper work and next week I'm going to be panicking all week. I feel like maybe they don't send it out till the week before which is whatever but don't tell me it's out and it's not . Fingers crossed we both get over this !
