    How Bout New Zealand

HI Had my first fill today. Got over filled and couln't keep anything down not evena sip of water. went back at lucnh time and had 1 ml removed... so much better. Have noticed a huge difference. I was worried before as I seemed to still be able to eat quite a bit with no issues. Now how ever I feel that heavy feeling in my chest after a very small amount so hopeully that will spark a huge drop. Although I have been averaging a kilo a week and my surgeon if very happy with the progress, Have to admit I had hoped to keep having he 3-4 kg losses that I had straight after surgery. Hope everyone else is doing well welcome Dana

The magic bullet should be your best friend through the mushy food stage. I use it for avocados with tomato garlic and lemon juice with some fat free french dressing or similar - it makes a very soft guacamole with goes down well, ver nutricious and easily digestable. I also use it for hard boiled eggs with a teaspoon of lite dressing and some curry powder = curried eggs mush which is easy to eat with a teaspoon. the trick is to make it wet . smoothies are also good with frozen berries or fruit. my 1st fll will beon the 22nd of Jan- not no much looking forward to that but am looking forward to the reduced capacity. Went for a bike ride last night with my daughter, seing as how I can't go to the gym so easily as can't take kids there and I have no one to look after her.

Wow you guys are doing so well. My port is just where my underwire rests and I still can't lie on that side confortably but otherwise all going well. You;re lucky you ere able to eat soft food so fast my doc has 4 week rules, 4 liquid post op 4 soft the real food. ave to admit after dong alot of reading and talking to people who have had it and the nurse i started some soft food like mashed egg or avocados after abot 3 weeks, and now I eat most things as long as they're moist ie fish, salads, seafood, chicken curry spag bol etc. short pasta has give me trouble though as it has slipped down before being chewed properly.... alwas remember to chewe as hat reminds you what you've had done! It HURTS, like you can't breathe, and usually comes back up. Not like a real vomit someone else descibed it like it coming up on lift back to your mouth, sounds gross I know.. don't know why I'm being so graphic, probaly coz I'm hungry and waiting for the family to return or dinner. HoPE ALL GOES WELL FOR YOu BOTH OVER Christmas. Can't belive it's 7.5 weeks since my op! Merry Christmas

for that Tracy Feeling pretty happy about that myself. Started back at the gym again yesterday - I go to Curves. and did the full measure an weigh. so i now have lost 10.4kg and 24 cm's. The opifast is not much fun but worth it in the end. Good luck with you op. I was worried going in but felt great afterwards, and everyone who knws me says they can see the change in me already... no the weightloss yet but in my energy levels and outlook to my future. I feel like my life restarted when i woke up after surgery. So if you have doubts or negative people trying to tell you you don't need to do this drastic thing just remember your future. This is the best thing i ever did after having my daughter. Good luck with it all :clap2:
