ladycook9713 posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Just going to use this as sort of a blog to document my journey. February 11, 2015 - First appointment with True Results for VSG February 12, 2015 - Had blood taken for Pre-Op blood work. February 13, 2015 - True Results Insurance Coordinator called me to let me know she was submitting my paperwork to insurance for approval. February 17, 2015 - I called my insurance to confirm that they had received my paperwork. They said they had received it yesterday. February 18, 2015 - Insurance approved my VSG surgery (I wasn't aware yet) February 20, 2015 - I called insurance to see what the status was of my surgery auth. They let me know it had been approved on the 18th! February 25, 2015 - Went to another True Results location to have a Body Composition test done. (BMR, Body Fat %, Recommended diet) February 26, 2015 - Finally was able to get a hold of the insurance coordinator and patient advocate to let them know that I had been approved (bad weather in the area past 2 days) February 27, 2015 - PreOp clearance doctor's appointment with PCP for blood pressure. (rescheduled due to weather) March 2, 2015 - PreOp clearance doctor's appointment with PCP for blood pressure. Doctor said he believes that I am low risk for surgery and sent clearance. March 6, 2015 - Received a call from the surgeon's office and I have an appointment for 9am on March 9th to meet with the surgeon and hopefully schedule my surgery! March 9, 2015 - Appointment at surgeon's office. Scheduled my pysch, nut, and stress test appointments. March 11, 2015 - Nutritional and Pre-Op appointment. 2 week liquid diet starts. March 16, 2015 - Stress Test - They did an ultrasound of my heart and legs. Then did a breathing test and then pedaled on a stationary bike for 8 mins or so while he monitored my breathing, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. March 17, 2015 - Pysch Counseling March 25, 2015 - Surgery Date! Craving chips and salsa/avocado

I'm sure parchment paper would work as well. And I just bake until they look a bit brown around the edges. The more you do it the more you'll know exactly when to take them out. -

You could make cheese chips. I use a baking mat to melt cheese in the oven until it's crispy and brown around the edges. I personally love Colby jack the most but you should try out different kinds. -

Go bigger than what you think you will be. I was in a wedding and guessed my dress size. Was off and had to have the dress let out, while I got lucky and only needed a tiny extra room in order to zip the dress up. It's easier to take a dress in than to try and let it out and if it takes 15 weeks to get (ridiculous btw) then you don't want to take the chance of the dress being too small.

Panda Express is another one of my favorites. I order a la carte and order only the entree. My absolute fave is Mushroom chicken. A 6oz serving is 170 cal 4g sugar and 12g Protein (obviously I only eat about half)

We also went to Dickey's BBQ over the weekend. Instead of ordering a meal I ordered meat by the weight. Had plenty for dinner and leftovers for 2 meals.

On Saturday my fam and I went to Chili's. I ordered the kids grilled chicken and then asked for it to be topped with their mango habanero sauce/salsa and avocado. Ordered the side as steamed broccoli. It was delicious! Kids meal price and add .99 for the mango habanero and avocado.
