    Nose piercing and surgery

I was able to use the clear plastic post during the surgery.
  2. Down 56lbs since the day I was sleeved 4/20/15 as of last Monday.. Don't think I'm losing as fast as I should however I'm not exercising as I should either.

    One month post op

Hi Everyone, I had surgery on 4/20/15 down 35 or so pounds. My WLS journey/plan is a little different my surgeon and NUT does not promote the Protein drink at all. I eat 3 meals a day soft foods 1/4 - 1/2 cup of food per meal including 2-3 oz of protein no snacking, however when I get hungry I will eat a piece of cheese or lunchmeat. I returned to work on 5/18 and I haven't been tired yet thank God because I returned to 2 jobs. I'm thinking because I don't do a lot of exercise and I really need to but that may be why I'm not getting tired. But I'm afraid I'm going to fail because I'm not exercising and I'm snacking. I need to be more accountable about counting calories. Does anyone have an easy calorie counting plan?
  4. Hi Everyone, I had surgery on April 20th and only had limited access to this website so I haven't really been following everybody. But today is my first day back at work and access to this website. I miss all the support. My surgery was a sucess no problems what so ever. Just wanted to check in.

    Gas in my chest

Hi, I'm 5 days post op and I never really passed any gas. And when I woke up in recovery I had pressure in my chest and was told it was gas. And I still have it when I drink Water and eat. Anyone else have this problem?

  8. Hi, Just a suggestion which was suggested to me (I'm scheduled for surgery on 4/20/15) write down why I decided to get the sleeve so I can refer back to reasons why I chose to have it done when I go thru rough Patches. Remember you pre-op days... I know it's easier said than done. Good Luck

    Any April Sleevers?

Hi I'm scheduled for April 20th, had my pre-op today and everything is going well so far. Fortunately I don't have to do a liquid diet prior to my surgery.
  12. My niece who will be 40 next year is like a sister to me and she's over 400 pounds and I wish she would have taken this journey with me, however she is totally against it. She had a stomach virus a few years ago and lost about 75 lbs (have since gained it back) and the doctors could never figure out what it was, so she says that's why she doesn't want to have WLS. She loves to travel and every time we go somewhere I'm the one concerned about her fitting into the seats or whatever. She don't appear to have any worry about it. Hopefully she will follow my lead once I'm sleeved and doing well.
