    My two year surg-iversary!

Happy sleevaversary!! Thanks for sharing your success with us!!
  2. I felt that way too, and more so about a week before my date. I think it all just starts to get real, after many months of planning. Good luck, I am sure you will do great!!

    4 days post opt!

I am also on day 4, and we did just have major surgery, so we are going to be tired. It takes time even for all of that anesthesia to get out of our system, let alone the body recovering from having surgery. We need to cut ourselves some slack, and rest when we need to. When else do we allow ourselves to do that? Also the emotional aspect from surgery is also exhausting. I am hoping each day to get a little stronger, and be able to intake a little more fluids. If we follow up this post in a week, I bet we will be feeling way better!

    Feb 16th- Surgery Day!

I am wondering how everyone else is doing?? I had 2 nights in the hospital, took me a very long time to come out of anesthesia, so I felt like I lost one day. Am at home for night number 2, doing ok. Of course I want to feel great, but it will take time. i also ended up having a surprise hernia that had to be repaired, which I guess is not that uncommon. I have tried to cut back on the pain meds, and am going to the mall and walk for a bit this morning. Still following Clear Liquids, fear of eating anything more at this point. Right stomach pain is where I feel it the most. Also, waiting to have my first BM. Wish I would have worked out my arms more before surgery to build upper body strength to help getting in and out of bed. Hope everyone else had a successful surgery.
  5. I wore loose sweats to and from the hospital...since you basically get to the hospital and change into a gown, you could easily wear home the same sweats. Go for comfort, as you don't want things rubbing over the incision sites. Basically what Bobby 46 said! Good luck!!

    February sleevers

Sleeved February 16th. Feeling pretty good, mostly the right quadrant pain, but that seems to be pretty normal. Going to attempt a little mall walking today. Still following clear liquid diet, trying to avoid a leak, and I can't imagine eating anything sen pureed at this point. I would love to join the Facebook group, but have not really made my surgery public, so hoping this group is a private group that only shows "likes" and comments to the people in the group? If so, I would like to know how to find and join the group, it's so nice to have support and understanding.

    Feb 16th- Surgery Day!

I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow as well. I found it interesting reading about the diet you have had to follow. My only pre diet was two days before I start a Clear liquids diet, and drink a bottle of magnesium citrate. Then, I am on clear liquids today as well. I did lose 10 pounds prior to my surgery which was required by my physician. I am looking forward to hearing how this group does!! Very exciting and scary at the same time!!
