Yes!!! I am struggling a great deal. I am a complete failure. I have gained back 40 of the 78 lbs. I lost. What makes the matter even worse is that this is my second weight loss surgery. I had Lapband in 2007. I was a failure with that. I had revision to the sleeve surgery in March 2015. The weight loss was slow and I never reached my goal with either. I need to see someone who specializes in food addiction, but am having a hard time finding someone. To be honest with you, I do not know what to do right now and am highly depressed.

Well, what can I say. I had surgery a year ago on March 17th. I lost around 75 pounds and was very strict until the holiday season began in November. To make a long story short, I have gained 20 lbs. since then, and stopped exercising. I feel completely out of control and feel as if my mind is blocking me from getting back on track. Has anyone else had this experience? I really need some advice from those who have had the same or similar problem. Please help.

I had surgery on March 17th and have lost 30 lbs. It seems that I am losing much slower than on previous diets. I exercise 4 times/week and my caloric intake is around 900 - 1050 calories/day. I am a bit disappointed, but truly hope the weight loss will continue and maybe speed up a bit.

I am two months post op and eat PBFit everyday as a night time snack. I add vanilla flavoring, a few packets of Splenda and 1 teaspoon of regular peanut butter (34 calories). Does anyone have thoughts on this?

I live in Houston and am 5 weeks post op. I would love to communicate with other sleevers in Houston for support.

I am 4 weeks post-op and seem to be in a stall as well. Although my clothes are getting pretty loose on me, the scale is not moving much. I guess the only thing I can do is continue what I am doing. Hopefully, the stall will end and I will start seeing the scale move down.

1 month ago was surgery (March 10th)
gresau1 replied to Riz2006's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on March 17th. As of today, April 12th, I have only lost about 10 lbs. I am a male, and my weight on surgery day was 280. I am doing everything I am supposed to do. I am taking in about 95 grams of protein/day, I drink 64oz. of water with crystal light/day, and I exercise 30 minutes/day four days/week. My carbs are very low, and I am getting in about 800 calories/day. I weighed this morning after about 9 days, and almost threw the scale against the wall. I feel like s$#t right now because I am putting so much effort into this and am not seeing the results that most others are seeing. What am I doing wrong??? -

Absolutely incredible! You are so beautiful and look like a completely different person. I just completed my 3rd week post op and hope to be as successful as you.

I feel your pain. I was sleeved on March 17th and return to work on Monday. I also work in a school. I actually enjoyed my time off and dread my return. Fortunately, I only have two months before the end of the school year.

Pain on side of abdomen after strretching

Thanks. I will give it a few days. My guess is that it will stop. I probably just pulled a muscle that I have not used in a while. -
Recipes/Foods during the Purée Phase
gresau1 replied to gresau1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just have one puree food phase that lasts one month. Then I start the regular solid food phase. Today was my first day on puree. I had a soft boiled egg, that was more like a runny egg. I will have refried beans for lunch. I don't see how I can get in all of my protein without continuing my protein shakes. -
Ok. Last night I was putting something on the top shelf in my closet, when I felt a pain. I'm thinking that I might have stretched too much and pulled a muscle, but I am not sure. It is a dull pain, but it is noticeable. Any suggestions?

When my band was in, I had horrible acid reflux, frequent vomiting, and my food would regularly get stuck. I would go in to have the band loosened, but then gain weight. I did lose about 80 lbs. on the band, but gained almost all of it back. Once I had the ban completely unfilled, I gained over 30 pounds in one month. It definitely did not work for me. I am two weeks post op and hope I have success with the sleeve.

1 week post op protein intake issue
gresau1 replied to mechidallas's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I use Weight and Inches protein powder from Familybariatrics.com. It has 29g of protein and 200 calories. I add two tablespoons of PB3 to it, which adds 55 calories and 5g of additional protein. I drink two each day to get in 68g of protein. I have one day left on the liquid diet and begin purée food. Has anyone else used Family Bariatric? -
I start my purée phase in 2 days. I wonder why there is no thread for recipes? You would think that there would be tons of recipes here.
