"Can't tolarade protein shakes"
Annicat replied to Jkpizano5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink 2 premade Premier Protein drinks a day that I get at Sam's club. Ther is 30 grams of proteinin each 11 oz drink. The chocolate ones taste very similar to Yahoo chocolate drinks. They are a little pricey but since I eat so little I can afford them and they are obviously doing the trick. I am 7 months out and do not like the powder protein at all. My doc told meat my 6 month check that my protein level was excellent and to keep doing what I am doing, so perhaps you could tolerate them. I drink them slowly, I never just drink anything striaght down. -

First time eating chicken! Whoopsie!
Annicat replied to mialoveslenny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 monthds out and I have been able to eat white meat chicken and canned chicken just fine from the time I was allowed soft food but I cannot eat dark meat chicken. apparently its too greasy. I find I I do not like tuna and it was one of my favorites before surgery. Also, can't tolerate raw onion at all and I used to love thick slices of onion on almost any kind of sandwich. Love salad and tolerate it very well in much smaller quantities than before. Angus beef hamburgers taste nasty too. When I just don't want anything I have in the house, I eat yogurt. I do drink 2 30g Protein shakes everyday, though. I am going thru the thin hair, sore scalp stage now. I take Biotin with keratin everyday and have since 8 weeks. My hair is not falling out it just appears to be thinner and my head feels like someone has been yanking on my hair. -

i am 68, almost 69 and am 7 months out. ALL my health issues have disappeared except for a lttle arthritis and at ny 6 month check my doc said he was very impressed with all my blood levels, especially the Protein and Calcium levels. I have been anemic my whole life, but, not anymore! He said he thinks its because of my protein level. I take KAL calcium citrate Chewable Mixed Fruit Supplement, 500 mg, 60 Count that I order on Amazon.com This is the cheapest I have found and I was told to ONLY use chewable for the best absortion. I take 3 a day at least 2 hours apart and 2 hours from multi vit (Flintstones Complete recomended by my doc}. These calcium are $8.99 for 60 so that is 20 days worth. Haven't found anything cheaper anywhere and they do NOT sell chewable citrate inywhere locally. I order 4 bottles at a time and shipping is free. I drink 2 premade Premier Protein shakes a day that I get at Sam's club. The chocolate ones taste very similar to Yahoo chocolate drinks. They are a little pricey but since I eat so little I can afford them and they are obviously doing the trick. I am 7 months out and ALL my health issues, except for arthritis, have disappeared. I drink one in the afternoon between luch and dinner and one before bed. I have lost 85lbs and have 29 lbs to HIS goal weight, my hoal is 140 which is another 40 lbs, -
