Well, i had my surgery August 27 and it was a success. Just really hungry so far, and can't wait to start stage 3.

yes. You taste buds will be a little different and need time to adjust. You will get past this as well. Just stick to what makes you get through the day. Water was a huge problem for me so I drank a lot of crystal light now I can finally drink water again. I still hate sugar and most meats though and I'm almost at 8 months. You just had major surgery so give your mind and your body time to adjust, We are here for you!

Hello ladies, this is my second day home and my throat is still a little sore from the tube. Also, i had a small yet annoying cough attack this morning, is that normal? I am also still hungry after eating my tiny ounce of yogurt or cream of wheat, and they aren't doing well with my stomach either. Someone please tell me this is all normal.

Amy,
The cough is normal, you were supposed to be using an Incentive spirometer before the operation to decrease the mucus in your lungs. If you have an incentive from your Hospital, try to use it as much as possible.
For the diet, I think you advanced very fast, I stayed on Clear Liquids for 1 week after my operation (Jello, Chicken / Meat Broth, Apple Juice). Your stomach is not yet relaxed after the operation, and the semi liquid food you are having might disturb your stomach. I advise you to go for some clear liquids for a couple of days, than go back to the semi liquid diet.
