    Gout Attacks Post Op

Try Probenecid Colchicine you take one pill in the morning and one at night. Drink plenty of Water and it will help. If you wake feeling like a flare is coming you then take 2 colcrys in addition to morning pill and then one more Colcrys an hour later and then take your pill at night - this has reduced my flare to 1-2 days and less pain and swelling. you just take the Probenecid every day and keep a bottle of the Colcrys for flares. Water is a big key and making sure to not over eat Protein. Good luck.

    Gout Attacks Post Op

you should try Probenecid it work with Water to remove the uric acid and we drink lots of water already. This is an older drug unlike the harsh ones today. It also has a small dose of cloches in it to help - all you have to do is have uric acid levels checked for a while to get the level to a stable 4 and make sure all your doctors know you take it since it does react to antibiotics - once used to increase levels of them faster in your body. Wish you all luck - I was sleeved 2/4/15 had gout 2/6 and again 3/9 - suffering today. I must say I had to come pff the Probenecid for surgery but hope things will soon stabilize

  5. scar tissue builds up around all the incisions and that large one also has perm. stitches so it could have been that tissue was released from the pressure of bending over. I have small ball of scar tissue building under my large cut but surgeon addressed it a week out and said worse before better and movement helps break it up. hope this helps

    The guilt of not telling

I choose not to tell anyone other than my partner, therapist and PCP. She does not need to worry but you need to get to place of being ok with not telling her until after surgery. Do you have someone to be with you at the hospital it does help. If you worry too much you could always call her this night before and maybe just a one or two night will not tip her off to what is going on. You will have to tell her at some point you know how Granny's can be - they see you getting smaller - how are you going to handle it later? Do you have a hernia that is being repaired during surgery? You could tell her that is what you are having done for now so she will not worry too much. Deep breaths - this is for you and your health nd she will love you no mater what <3 - hang in there!!
