    Here we are.... now what?!

i am so sorry to hear about your loss! that has got to put a wrench in things. I am glad you are now focusing on yourself again. I too feel that anything around 130 for me makes me look sick. i have a hard time remembering that when I graduated high school i was 115!!! I look back at that picture and see what my step mom seen at the time. She always thought I was too thin back then. I was noticing a recent picture that showed my collar bones. I never knew them to look disfigured. I of course have always been musclular (maybe thats why i didn't) and I have lost a lot of muscle as well. I try not to think about it because i would probably go on an ice cream binge! As far as ketosis is concerned.. you used to be able to buy strips that you could test your urine with to be able to tell if you were in that state... haven't seen them in a while.

    Here we are.... now what?!

Be wary of this honeymoon phase we are in. It can still creep back from what I am reading in other groups. I reached goal at around 8m (7-28-14) and now sitting @ 133-135 . I run, Kickboxing, karate, and go on long hikes. I would say I am 90/10 my idea of being naughty is the creamer for my coffee and sweet tea.. Oh and tomato basil wheat thins... If you ever need good advise visit www.bariatriceating.com amazing tips and recipes to help stay on track. As well as a back on track plan that helps with regain. I have seen amazing reviews on their FB page.

    Completely Frustrated

This isn't an easy journey. It is so frustrating at times. I actually had the exact opisite being that I didn't want to eat. My hubby had a BBQ the weekend after my surgery! URGH!!! Meaner!!! lol. Your body is still healing from the surgery. Please don't get dicouraged for not loosing the weight. As long as you are following your protocol you should be fine. Call them and tell them your concerns though. they may have you step back a bit. I agree with the above comments about the Protein. Protein will keep you full longer. I love the nectar and Inspire protein. They have one called PURE that is truly unflavored and will not thicken when added to items. I put it in my coffee in the morning. I went throu a "hunger" phase as well at one point in my journey. It was head hunger. I was really just dehydrated. So a trick that they told me was to sip Water and wait 15 mins. if that doesn't help add protein like Nectar to the water (it counts as water intake) and see if that helps. If after an hour I am still hungry, nibble on a soft food like protein enriched sf Jello (if you can't handle soups) Hang in there!

    What do you tell people?

It is awkward when people ask. (I am 7m post and 5lbs from goal.) When people ask "oh what have you been doing? Exercise and dieting?" I go with it. If I am closer to them I may tell them. I am proud of my decision and people ask my "secret" all the time. But if I feel they won't understand or I will have to go through explaining my decision, I don't bother. People are so judgey. I had gotten a hernia fixed too. So that is what I said when they asked me why I was out of work. It is personal. So ultimately its what you are comfortable in talking about. I just hate it when people say "oh don't you feel so much better!?" Aren't you happier? Urgh...

    Need a quick answer.

Every person is different. I didn't notice my clothes getting loser for about 2 months. I could deal with anything around my surgery sight though. But by the time I went back to work (6 weeks)I was down to a 18 from a 20.

Feel like I can eat A LOT!

Yes it can drive you batty! Lmao I am almost 7m post op. I can only eat proteins and very soft veggies. I use ramkins. I can only seem to eat 2-3 oz of any type of meat still. I went to buffalo wild wings and was stuffed to the point I thought it would come back up after 2 wings.... I still can't drink anything with my meals... If I eat raw veggies my stomach revolts even though I love them. it does depend on the type of meat.... Talk to your surgeon and nut if you are concerned... They will let you know. Good luck you are doing awesome

    Feeling a little guilty

Can't let it eat you too! I was bad today and ate a chocolate turnover... Moving on though.
  12. I will not miss feeling like I need a full body bra because of the jiggle and bouncing while running... @ Lexie I am down to a b cup from a d cup... Don't miss that either I will not miss the inner legs of my jeans wearing out.
  13. I used to LOVE the biggest loser! Jillian and Bob are amazing. I have their programs and they do work.... For a period of time. Sustainability is what I needed. I just recently have been able to admit to people that I had surgery. No one knows how much research and soul searching goes in to this huge decision. We feel like failures going in but come out as "losers" (winners) , so now if they have a problem with it they can go find my lost 100pnds and suck it.
