I dont agree that physical addiction and mental addiction are all that different. If you cannot stop smoking there is a problem. Financially your also drained for life. I have seen my bfs roommate not sleep for days without it. He even admits it's cause of the weed. Do i think it's an awful drug? No I just hate when people act like it has no bad side effects. It does. I've seen people lose their job, house and family over that addiction. If i was sick and i needed an option i would definitely look into it. But only if i was sick.

Marijuana is addictive...having lived with an addict it does effect you in many ways. It makes you dependent on it to fall asleep (at least it did for my ex)It effects your memory big time. Yes it has many good properties but thinking there are no negative side effects is wrong. I also wonder if it increases ulcers like cigerettes do? No idea.

Yeah myfitnesspal never thinks I eat enough and gets mad at me lolll
-
Loveeee myfitnesspal. I honestly dont think i would have been successful without it

Im finding 700 to 900 is ideal...i can gain sometimes with 1k. My body is so weird ugh
-
I also had the RNY at the same time my band was removed.
-
Well i also had 2 strictures along the way so i had 2 weeks that i could barely get anything down at all. scale went down fast but then stalled of course when i started eating again. My real secret is not one that is really a secret. I just use myfitnesspal and track every morsal and i mean every bite. I dont go over 1k calories either or i wont lose. No rice, potatoes, bread or Pasta. It is what most people that have been successful have followed. You can do this too!

I was 305 before surgery. Now im 231 and its not even 4 months out. You are going to be so happy to get that band out and live a much better healthier life. I can eat chicken again!!
-
It will probably change, just like most of us get our hunger back eventually (still mad about that). Im 4 months out and in so enjoying chicken. But its probably because i couldn't eat it for so many years with the band. Now i can eat it and I savor every bite.

Im looking forward to hot flashes lol
-
Also make sure you arent anemic. I am always freezing but feeling a bit warmer lately because my Iron is up to 12...which it was 9.
-
I had such bad gerd with the band. Revised to RNY June 23 and havent had it again since. Let me tell you not having Gerd is even better than the weight loss. sleep is the most precious thing.

I completely skipped a period after surgery. Body is so confused. Its pretty normal.
-
I took 3 weeks and so glad i did. Even then the fatigue was still bad. This is major surgery. As major as having a kidney removed. Take the time to heal properly.
-
That is restriction. Your tummy is full or a piece of food is too big to go through. I usually force myself to get sick at that point. Rather that then the feeling of getting stabbed. Not fun....but yeah probably didnt chew well enough.
-
I was told only 30% of patients dump. I guess you are one that doesnt. I havent tested the waters. Im better off not knowing i guess
-
I would get your blood work checked and let your regular doc know about these symptoms as well. I have rheumatoid arthritis and this is my everyday how you are describing. Also if you are working out every day you will probably feel sore in the morning.
-
I just straight up tell them ive had weight loss surgery and that solves the issues. I'm weird and very proud i had surgery and i dont care who knows lol..shrugs. i think everyone here is an adult and can make their own decisions if they want to follow their doctors rules or not. I just wish all the docs had the same rules! Good luck wuth your journey

Im weird i count the weight i lost pre surgery as well with the 10 day liquid diet. To me those were well earned lost pounds and i would have not lost them without doing the surgery. Shrugs
-
The liquid med tastes sooo nasty. I only used it 3 days after surgery. Just a heads up. Also if the hospital u are having the surgery has a pharmacy they should carry the meds.
-
Yep i had reflux with rny but it was a stricture as well. Not fun but easy to fix. Im not on any meds after.
Had my surgery today!

Just an update with me. It's been a year since my revision and im at goal at 170 although I still want to lose a few more. 135 pounds lost in a year. Revision surgery doesnt have to be any slower. It's up to you as to how successful you are. These are the best days of my life. Looking forward to skin surgery next year.
