My swollen feet and ankles have been a huge problem for me. I am less than one week out of surgery and my ankles are thin! I love my beautiful ankles It is so great not to feel pain in my feet for the first time in a long time.

Annie - I would love to hear how you are doing. I also had my surgery on Thursday, and so far, so good. Still pretty sore, but getting better each day. It is a struggle to get all of the liquids in, but I'm managing to stay on track. Wishing you all the best in your journey!

APRIL 6th
Susie P. replied to Morethan_justa_prettyface's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just had my surgery on Thursday. I was very nervous, but everyone at the surgical center was fabulous. I spent one night and came home at 6:00am. Each day gets a bit easier. I'm eager to see where this journey takes me. So far, it's really not as bad as I thought it would be. -
Looking forward to hearing how your surgery went. I'm scheduled for tomorrow

Looking forward to hearing how everything goes for you. I am right behind you on Thursday Best wishes with your surgery and recovery!

Wishing you the best with your insurance company - where are you hoping to have your surgery done. So fun to "meet" another Snohomish member.

I am scheduled for the 2nd - I'm nervous, but ready

JR- I am hanging in there on the low carb diet. It has gotten easier as I have gotten farther into it. Only 6 more days to go for me. I'm hoping to starting attending the PSSC support group in April - I've heard great things about it.
-
JRFishes...So glad to hear about another great experience at PSSC. My surgery will be there next Thursday.... Best wishes in your recovery!

One month to surgery

CrissyBat- I did buy some Isopure today for the first few days after surgery. Has anyone purchased unjury? I'm thinking of purchasing the chicken broth flavor, so I have something other than "sweet" -

I am also on the pre-op diet. Mine is just a low-carb diet. I've heard that many have to do an all-liquid diet. It hasn't been horrible so far. I think my body has adjusted now. I can't believe it is a week from tomorrow! I have also been drinking the Premier Protein shakes. They are not too bad - I like the chocolate better than the vanilla, but you could probably do a few things to the vanilla to make it better... -

Jenbaby....thanks so much for sharing your experience. That is so great to hear. I have been really happy with my experience so far - everyone has been very kind and helpful. It's hard to believe that I am only 10 days away. This has been a very difficult decision, but I feel like I am on my way to a new, healthier me. So glad to hear about your positive experience!
