April 1st sleevers- What are you doing for exercise? Just walking? I have my 2 week post op appointment wednesday but I feel like I have the energy to do the elliptical. Did anyone's surgeon give them a timeline of when you could do what? Thanks!

April 1st Sleevers! Tomorrow is our Day!
jrquinter replied to x0CheekzVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@x0CheekzVSG I honestly can't wait until the puree/soft stage! They're combined for me so I'm definitely gonna have the ricotta bake, cottage cheese, hummus, etc so that'll start wednesday. I found the best thing today for getting in my liquids, I bought peach herbal tea and made a big iced pitcher of it, because I get soo bored drinking plain Water. Also, I've been adding PB2 to my chocolate premier Protein shakes and it's making them so much tastier. I hope you're doing well! Also, going back a few pages to search for a (butterfinger?) shake you mentioned haha -

I can't believe I haven't had the energy to get on the computer since the surgery April 1st! To be honest, it hasn't been an easy road. I left the hospital friday the 3rd, and ended up back there saturday because I couldn't get any fluids down it was so painful (I also got a large hiatal hernia fixed, that I didn't know I had). I also am not able to get any Protein shakes down yet, because I am so focused on drinking Water and other fluids. Anyways, it's getting a tiny bit easier every day! Hope everyone is doing well. -
My surgery is on Wednesday so I figured I'd ask in the post op section. I have to stay 2 nights, and I was just wondering if anyone ended up having to stay longer than they thought? And any reasons you'd have to stay longer? Thanks!

I was wondering if there is anybody who has epilepsy and is getting/ or has gotten surgery. I'm sure there's someone out there!

I'm on day 4 of my pre liquid diet.. i've barely cheated but it does count. What have other people cheated with? It's so hard!

Did anyone pig out before starting their 2 week liquid diet?

@@CapeMom3 That's awesome! I was choosing between the Brigham (my mom works there) and emerson hospital. I ultimately chose emerson because of the program and I know a few people who have gone through it. So exciting! The program at the brigham was obviously very impressive and you know you are in such good hands there.

My RD says no 0 cal caffeine/carbonation and no jello/popcicles - help!
jrquinter replied to butterfly23's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would also love to know the answer about the caffeine/carbonation for the pre op diet, although I am (99%) complying to it. coffee was my addiction, and I'm glad I've stopped drinking it because of the cream and sugar I put in it, but I'm still curious as to why. -
Anyone from Massachusetts? If so, which hospital/surgeon?

@@blacktee92675 I think that's a really good point, don't let it be everyday. I felt so guilty after just two small cheats I have been working out like crazy to try and cancel it out. Thanks

Totally meant to post this in the pre-op thread. Oh well! The glass of wine and beer makes me feel a little better, as I've had two iced coffees with cream!!

I started my two week liquid diet yesterday and have been trying to keep myself busy ( I don't work and I'm taking time off of school at the time). Any ideas?
