I think I stretched my pouch

I also get headache and believe I am hungry in between meals/snacks. I have tried to increase my fluid intake between meals but right before dinner I swear Im starving! It is VERY difficult for me to slow down while I am eating dinner. I know it's head hunger but it is such an intense sensation! I struggle with it every day!

6 weeks out and still having regret...

I had some complications at 6 weeks out after my gastric bypass and couldn't eat without vomiting. I had a bad stricture. But after the scope, I've been great! It takes time to work through these issues. I look back now that I'm almost 7 months out and realize it was all worth it! I'm 114 pounds lighter and I feel amazing!

    Pushing through a plateau

I've had two plateaus already! I tried cutting calories and just mostly eating lean protein for a few days. Then increasing my activity level. Plus, I usually noticed that during a plateau my clothes were more roomy even though the scale didn't move. Your body may be redistributing the weight. You are doing a wonderful job!

    Food for Thought......

I agree!!! My co-workers love their "afternoon chocolate" and roll their eyes at me and say something like, "oh that's right, you can't have chocolate" I tell them would you offer an alcoholic a cocktail, then rub it in? I am proud of how how much I have transformed. I work hard! I refuse to feel guilty for refusing or even wasting food. I deserve to be healthy!

    OCTOBER 2014

What a jerk!!! This journey is difficult enough without this kind of obnoxious attitude. He doesn't realize that our life is full of people that judge us based solely on our size! We are working to become healthier... he obviously is NOT!! NO MORE GUILT AND SHAME!!!

    Pure Vain issue.

So far I have gone from an F cup to a DDD that is 2 sizes smaller, but they are sooooo strange looking! Plastic surgery is looking more appealing every day!

    OCTOBER 2014

I applaud you! I'm still so nervous about planning and logging every morsel of food that goes in my mouth. I find myself longing for foods I know I shouldn't touch! "Head hunger" is the worst! It's difficult to get out of my own head sometimes.... any tips?

    Headaches

I have actually done a bit of research about headaches after migraines. Check these links out! https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/284303.php https://www.neurosurgery.ucla.edu/body.cfm?id=1123&ref=55&action=detail https://www.aan.com/PressRoom/Home/PressRelease/1314 Hope it helps!

    Over the shoulder boulder holder

My Boobs are definately changing! Still considering a lift or even augmentation. I have always had large breasts and I don't feel like myself without them. Not sure if its vanity or just a self image issue? However, finding bras at Burlington Coat factory for less than $10 is a great perk!

New Study suggests 12K steps a day! Ugh

@@Sunshine_Gal THANKS!!! I always thought it would be easier after the surgery, but It remains a daily struggle. @@Inner Surfer Girl I agree with you that the study was not scientifically sound, and the association with "sugary" sodas seemed random. I guess, for me, I had an emotional response from my ongoing struggle to meet my personal fitness goals. I appreciate the response.
  17. I have been struggling to get my 10,000 steps in using my FitBit. Now they suggest 12,000 steps! What do YOU think? Check out the link and post your opinion: www.newser.com/story/193682/the-solution-to-your-soda-habit-12K-steps.html

Training for a 5 k - BIG deal for me!

I signed up for my local Color Run this April. I'm nervous! I know I can walk it, but my hope is to try to run at least part of it. My family is going to be joining me and I hope to keep up with them (for once!)

All right all you little Skinny Minnies

I love going to the mall now! I have always hated shopping, now I love checking out the sale racks!

    This weightloss stuff is expensive!

I agree about clothes being expensive! It's hard to know what size to buy and if I will be able to wear them more than a few weeks. At work, I was actually told that I need to retire some of my dress pants because they look too unprofessional. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful everyday for this tool that helps me lose weight. It's just a delicate balance. Oh, and I have the same issue with the flat butt!

    Why do men do this?

It's soooo true! People who have never even made eye contact with me at work are suddenly talking and smiling at me. I'm the same person, just 97 pounds lighter. Anti-fat bias is a HUGE issue!

Who will you tell that you are having WLS?

I have started a blog and was worried about my co-workers finding out because I haven't really mentioned it. They know I've been seeing a dietician and going to support groups but I must admit I'm scared. But my family knows and are mostly supportive now that they see how much my health has improved!
  23. Becoming Bariatrical

Does WLS Help a Spouse Lose Weight?

ASOLUTELY! My husband stopped snacking, cut down on carbs, and increased his protein. Just being around me on my journey has made him more aware of his own eating habits. He lost 10 pounds and gained muscle definition. It works both ways! And a friend I know had lap band and his spouse lost weight being "considerate".

    Insecurities

@@mskami77 You are sooooo right! My husband showers with me and never seems to care that I look like melted goo. I've directly asked him and he says I will always be beautiful to him!

    Naked...

@LilBoo007 I have had a similar experience. My huband was a bit shocked at how strange the skin on my breasts can look. Definitely want plastic surgery when my weight stabilizes!
