    Getting back on track!

The struggle is real! When I want sweets I have started making protein ice cream,( skim milk, protein powder and sugar free coffee syrup). Mix all together and process in my ice cream maker. This has been a life saver for me.

Thank you! I went to the grocery store today and did a big food prep. Washed and cut all kinds of vegetables, for steaming. Seasoned chicken breast, to grill tomorrow and purchased frozen salmon and shrimp. Made Greek yogurt and fruit parfait for Breakfast. I am going to stay away from the carbs for now and drink lots of Water. I know I can do this...I did it before. Just have to focus. I will do Protein shakes on occasion. The struggle is real!

    Getting back on track!

Hello All, I just rejoined this site today. I am over 6 years post surgery. I kept my weight in check for over 5 years, then I had several BIG set backs. My husband passed from a massive heart attack at the age of 53 (he was in great health, ate right and exercised) and 6 months later my dad died from bone cancer. These two losses have rocked my world, the two most important men in my life, both gone. I have gained 22 pounds in the last year and I have to get it together. I am going back to my post surgical eating plan. Now that I have that off of my chest, time to get to work!
