Hi there Dream125, My husband just told me today thar he had a customer come in to his store who just had the band to sleeve done 6 weeks ago who said it was such a big difference. He already lost 50lbs! Best wishes to you on achieving your dream! Sounds like you're headed in the right direction! To support me as well as get healthy himself, my husband is going to refill his band and give it another shot since he has no other options. Maybe since we'll be doing it together it will work better for him this time. He lost about 50lbs total 7 years ago but then never went to get it adjusted and just gained it all back. Haha! My feelings exactly!

Tagaroo your story sounds just like mine. In 2012 I worked so hard, lost 45lbs and was leading a very healthy life. Then I started a new job in 2013 and here I am 2 years later at my heaviest yet at 250lbs. I gained 65 lbs since I began the new job. My bmi was a 39 when I started my 6 months of visits and now I'm cleared by insurance and my surgery is exactly one month from today. My pre-op diet doesn't start for 2 more weeks but I have already lost about 7 lbs so I'm daily preparing myself for surgery. I gradually cut out coffee, alcohol and most carbs to just prevent myself from going into shock! Best of luck on your surgery and hoping for a quick recovery!

Hi NJ Sleevers! I'm 42yo F, 5'7, 250lbs, surgery set for 5/21 @AtlantiCare with Dr. Samir Patel. Has anyone else had their sleeve done there by him? I'm also looking for May NJ Sleevers to encourage one another through the journey. I'm keeping it pretty quiet, only my husband and mother know and are very supportive. I'm nervous about something going wrong. I'm healthy for the most part and only have slightly high cholesterol. I want this to be healthy but don't want to feel miserable and throw up food for the rest of my life. I worry so much about that. Is that normal?

I just got finished with vacation so I guess from here on my new life is about to begin. I kind of had my "fat funeral" on vacation. Didn't go crazy, just ate what ever I wanted knowing it would be the last time in a long time. I'm an emotional binge eater too so I'm most worried about that when stress becomes a factor. Looking forward to seeing our success!
