Today was pretty miserable at work. I worked 14 hours and I got to drive in freezing rain, sleet, light snow, white out conditions, deep wet snow, and it warmed up to 33 and we got fog. Ok nuff complaining. I did walk about an hour at work and did 150 step-ups. When I got home I ran the snow blower for an hour. Ate supper and took a 30 minute stroll on the elliptical. Water was good. Meals started out good but ate a bigger lunch than I have in the last two weeks. Def not a binge, just bigger. Supper same. Well I hope that the temp stays at least 30 or so tonight. I want to do an outside walk in the morning. @@punkinvine It sounds like you have a lot on you right now. You are in our prayers. Matt 11:28

@@s_suther I have looked at the c25k program. I can hardly wait to start it. But I think I will wait until I get under 220. I really want not to quit exercising because of joint issues. I already have bad shoulders from lifting the hoses at work. The main thing is to stay committed and active.

45 minutes walking at work. Bunch of Water and meals were small. We had my fave for supper. Beans and Cornbread..(hillbillies) Held myself to 1 piece of cornbread and 1/2 bowl of bean Soup. Ate my chunks of ham first! My right knee was hurting pretty bad today so I took a day off from the elliptical. I got some really good advice from some seasoned runners on another site. They advised me to take things slow and "walk" my 5 k until I get a good part of the weight off. They said I should stay with the low impact elliptical as well. Thoughts? I did sign up for a 5k walk for April 1 In Miamisburg OH. Hope everyone killed it today!
  4. I just started to get back on the program, so running is still a bit down the road. But I am going to walk a 5k on April 1.. Miamisburg OH.
  5. Weighed in at 274 this morn. 8 pounds in two weeks.

Well I just could not stay off the scale 274. That is 8 pounds in 2 weeks. But more importantly, I haven't binged in 2 weeks. Praise the Lord!
  7. Ok I have just really got back on the program. I am training for a couple 5k this summer and fall. I fully expect to have lost quite a bit of weight by then. Now when I run my belly gets to shakin' and I know I'm quite a sight. My question is, what if anything is available to keep the shrinking gut and other fat rolls from knocking someone off the trail? If you have some experience, I'd love to know what you use and brand ect. Thanks in advance!

We could not leave the house for the last 2 days. I stepped out to feed the dogs and run the snow blower. No outside exercise. I did map out a course that is close for future running activities. It has thrilled me to see my sons not ask for pop but rather to ask for water since that is what daddy drinks. Meals were good. Plenty of protein and water. 1 hr 6 min on the elliptical. Hope everyone killed it today!!

My ULTIMATE goal is not to have a heart attack at 45 years old. That may sound like I'm making a joke and to a degree I am, but lets face it, carrying 80+ extra pounds is not good for the ticker. One of the thing that got me kicked back into gear was I renewed my DOT physical and was told I could only have a 1 year card instead of 2. When I asked why the doctor replied, "sir, you are MORBIDLY OBESE!!" Those words are still echoing in my head. If I develop insulin dependent diabetic, they will pull my card altogether. I've been involved in trucking my entire life, I'm not sure what else I'd do. Short term goals: My wife saved a pair of Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans(38) I wore when we first met. I'd like to get into those by our anniversary in August. I would also like to finish the 5k race running (and alive). That is June 27.

Bucks fans in Misery? Say it aint so.. We have friends in Springfield MO. Thanks for the tip. I can tell I'm losing pretty good. I think I will wait and only weigh at doctor. I have an appointment with PCP in 3 weeks and Bariatric doc in 5 weeks.

BTW I would like to hear thought about weighing. I had originally planned to weigh every 2 weeks on payday! But being afraid of getting discouraged, I am leaning toward weighing only at the doctors.

Meals were so so at best. The snow hung around all day. I had a few Snacks and larger meals than I normally would when I'm working. I never really counted calories much. I usually chose low calorie foods early in the day and then "saved" them for dinner and in the end blew it altogether. So what I do now is try only to eat when I'm physically hungry. Stop eating when I'm no longer hungry. Water is good today! I did do another 30 minutes on the elliptical machine giving me a total of 1hr 5minutes for the day. They are talking about -25 degree wind chills tomorrow, so probably be cooped up inside all day again. I truly appreciate all of you for your support. I normally would have given up good while ago. So very thankful for the support. Hope everyone is rockin it today!! Let's hear how we did!!!

Did not get my 15 min on elliptical last night. But already got 35 min this morning. 2 doc appt this morning. We got more snow last night. If it clears out, we are going to take our boys to a place called Jumpin Jacks. I am hoping they let kids over 35 jump. Lol.. Let make things happen today!!

@@s_suther is completely hard core. Me 340 step ups and 45 minutes walking extra at work. On the way home I stopped and walked a bike path in the next town over from my town. Kudos to the parks dept for having trail cleared of snow. Walked for 37 minutes. Meals were on target. Water was plentiful. I am trying to get motivated to get 15 minutes on the elliptical. Having a case of lazy rear syndrome. Home for the next 2 days and hanging with my bride and our offspring. Have a good evening..

Just like to tell my experience about being over filled. The last fill I had was the fall of 2011. I thought I was too tight, but the doc said I would be good. I could not get a drop of anything through. The fill was on a tues and the doc was out until the fowling tues. I said to myself that eventually it will settle in and id be good. By friday night I was dehydrated and miserable. I went to three different hospitals and no one would stick a needle in me. The fourth was seceral hours away but there was a resident there that had "some" experience with fill ports. I finally got some relief on sat morn. I swore on the way home I would never get another fill.. that started a spiril out of control time where I started binge eating and gained all but 50 pounds back. So IMO fills are good but there is a FINE line. Do not let a bad fill be the start of gaining your weight back. And yes... I will be getting a fill again. My appointment is April 2.

Kinda a rough day. Truck broke down AGAIN!! This time in a snowstorm and a truck that would not run at all. 8 above!! Anyway eating was ok. A bit of a big dinner, but I did not have much to eat all day. Only got half my water. Not much exercise either.. 3 strikes and yer out.. I could not make it home because of the storm. Wo tomorrow will be eating on the road all day.. A bit nervous. Hope to have good power tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well!
  22. Few years ago there was pouch test people would do. And then simply start back. I will see if I can find info on it. I somewhat remember. So I did what I could when I started over recently. No one on this earth abused a band worse than me and I now have good restriction.
  23. Make it a regular thing. No matter how well or poorly you think you are doing.. please please see your doc regularly. .
