Just me here needing my peeps. Well it happened, no not some big break through. My band got so tight on me that I could not get anything through. It was a week without solid food and 2 1/2 days without fluids. I ended up in the ER with my kidneys starting to shut down. I know I waited way too long, but in my own defense, the last two times I went to doctor I asked for a slight unfill. Instead the put more fluid in saying I need to lose not gain. Docs logic was if I could get water through in the office, I'd be fine. Just chew chew chew... right??? Well I lived on slider foods for the last 6-8 months but on Friday I ended up in the ER. The folks there were super nice and very understanding. The girl asked me how much fluid to take out and I said "all of it, I'm done." Since then I've ate good foods that I've not had for a really long time. Fresh salad, chicken. I 've not had soup or any sliders. I swear if I have another cheese it I'll vomit from disgust. I know this turned into a rant. I'd apologize but I'm not sorry. I'm really angry at myself for allowing myself to self destruct. I'm pretty scared and unsure what to do at this point. I hope to hear from some of those that know me, and welcome new friends too. Guess I will post again tomorrow. Be blessed.

So far so good today. I'm kind a in that in between. Seems the band is supertight. That said, I've been eating a lot of slider type stuff. And when I can eat, I over do it. But so far so good...

Yesterday was_suther I am a Taurus junkie. I only open carry for now. I have a pt809 9mm for open. The concealed carry will be a pt111 g2 millennium. I am waiting for ccw class. I really want a 1911 chambered to 9mm. Yesterday was a struggle. A fellow fuel hauler lost his life in a fired crash. I did some emotional eating and thought about both our families. God has truly had mercy on me time and time again. Today will be better. I have chicken salad. Lots of Water. Not supposed to rain so walk should happen.

Sorry, I left my phone @ the office Friday morning. So I guess I didn't miss it... Weekend went well. Band feels tight but still able to eat . My mom was in and her flight got delayed twice, so she didn't get here until 19:30. That meant Jen and I didn't go out, but it also meant she didn't have time to go to grocery. That worked out. I was showing her my new concealed carry gun and asked if she could tell. (As in if I were carrying a gun). And she said she could tell I've lost weight. I was in a new t shirt. So I guess that is a positive. I'm working on a new kennel. So I will be active outside today and try to get a walk in the morning before bed. Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

I have ben banded for almost 9 years now with minimal success. I've flat out abused the band ever since the honeymoon was over. I'm really trying to get back and do things right. I ran into a video on how things are supposed to work. Not bad mouthing my surgeon, but I think this is info a patient needs to know. They may be doing a better job these days of explaining things IDK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa3Lwt6ElIs My question is fairly simple yet has 2 parts. 1- Has anyone ever recovered from a stretched out pouch? 2- Is there a way to shrink it back and restore the nerves at the top of the stomach? I lost my job shortly after my last doc visit in 2015. That said, I've not had decent insurance until now. I am working full time now and have pretty decent insurance. I have plans to get to the LB doctor. A revision is not in the cards right now due to just starting this job and not being able to take time off. I appreciate any and all advise!

Yesterday was not stellar but it was not a total blow up either. I got stuck hard core at breakfast. I had a pretty big meal when I got home too. And the rain kept me from a walk. - positive- I've made up my mind to do a 5k in march. Pray today is better Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

I finished on track. I worked a total of 14 hrs and I was so ready to crash when I got home, but I sucked it up and got a mile and a half walk in. NO GRIT, NO PEARL... Right? Positive for the day. It actually came from my bride. She knows my struggles and she just reminded me she was on my team and she was proud of me for the effort I have put forth. I could run a week on words like that from her. Check yall later!

Back at it and ready to rock it. lunch box packed with Water and chicken salad. I had a one egg omelet for Breakfast. Plan on a 30 minute walk. My mom is coming in this weekend. She always make a sweet treat my fave when she is in. I need advice on what to tell her so not to hurt her feelings. I mean it my mamma. And I can't afford a derailment this early. The company I work for is known locally for its sign out front. This weekend it read: NO GRIT, NO PEARL! Let's get gritty! Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

I wanna know about carbs... Seriously!
bacon replied to KindaFamiliar's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
When calculating Carbs one must calculate NET carbs. Broccoli is high in fiber, so you take carbs-fiber=net carbs. Just my .02. -
Things went well today. (Sunday into Monday) Meals were on target. No issues getting my food in. Drank lots of Water. I stopped for my 30 min break and walked around a truck stop before delivering my last load. I also stopped and got a reflective vest to walk in the early morn hrs since that is when I get off of work. I walked another 30 after work. I'm sipping on some chicken broth now to warm up before heading off to bed. Will check in this afternoon when I get up. THIS THREAD IS OPEN TO ALL, BANDED UNBANDED SLEEVED UNSLEEVED RNY PRE-OP. Sounds awesome. My meals are boring most days. You know my binging issues. So my focus is on not binging and slow eating / not regurgitating. Sent from my SM-S820L using the BariatricPal App

I have always felt I did not do well with adjustments. I had 3 emergency in-fills always following a fill. My last fill was tight but I have tolerated if for a long time, that said I've been living on slider foods since april 2015. I've been on fluids since Monday. I just tonight took some pork roast and ran it through the blender. This morning I had a 1 egg omlett. I took 30 minutes to eat each meal. I really think that my biggest issue is eating WAY too fast. I guess time will tell. One other thing I'm going to do is a 3 day fluid only fast once a month.
