    Banded...but starting again

    I was banded February 2012. I have been pretty frustrated here lately with the lack of weight loss after gaining 26 pounds back. I started at 237, was 219 at surgery. I got down to 170, and I went back up to 196 in a years time. I am now down to 187, but it's moving along SOOOO SLOWLY! I try to only weight myself once a week, but some days its hard to not take a peek! I needed some motivation, so I came here to take a look and find some help...and here you are! So, off I go to do what I knew I needed to do, but needed to hear it from someone else! Back to basics! Thanks for the help!
  2. I finished off clear liquids yesterday. Moving into all fluids today. Isn't nearly as bad or difficult as it would have been without the band! Print ideas for mushy foods starting tomorrow! Feel good today!
  3. @@lisacaron, you gotta go anyways, or take a 30 minute walk. Something for your exercise! Your heart loves it and the fat that needs to leave hates it!!! Come on, Girl! You got this!!!
  4. My 3 year bandiversary is February 28. I have been the same weight for MONTHS and I'm ready to get the weight loss going again! I started at 237 pounds, dropped down to 172, and then gained after a rough patch in life! Got up to 195. Currently (today) I'm at 191, and I want to lose 41 pounds. I'm doing a seven day restart starting today which consists of clear fluids only today, Soups and creamy stuff tomorrow, then mushies for 3 days (anything I could eat if I didn't have teeth). Then finally back to the regular meals with lean Protein, fruits/veggies, healthy grains, and at least 25g of Fiber. I wrote out the ten rules and posted them on my cabinet in the kitchen. Seven days from now when the restart is done, I commit to myself and all of you to go to the gym or exercise a minimum of 3 days per week... WHO'S WITH ME?
  5. Ok NewMeDebbie, I'm starting a reset today. Clear fluids only today, soupy fluids tomorrow, mushies for 3 days, then normal foods. Once I'm eating again, I'll be hitting the gym! I'm also have a very small fill scheduled for Thursday. Here's so our success...TOGETHER!!

  7. Hi there! I'm new to this site, but my 3 year Bandiversary is February 28, 2015. After my first year, I was doing very well. The 3 year goal my surgeon set was 180 pounds. After year 1, I was at 172! Imagine the excitement! I felt amazing, I was getting compliments from friends, family, strangers!! However, my husband of 15 years wasn't taking to all the compliments, or the looks from others so well. We ended up seperating for close to a year. It was the most awful year of my life! I ended up giving back everything I put in my mouth, and having the band emptied until the stress level went down a bit. We have 3 daughters, we own a house, and we live 3000 miles away from my family. His family is here...not helpful!! He was giving me support money to help support the kids and I was still working 4 jobs (1 full time, 3 part time) to try and keeps he girls lives somewhat normal. There was nothing normal about that year! My weight....195 after that year! Disappointed to say the least! My husband and I are now back together after that rough year. I had my band refilled. My last fill was several months ago. Here goes my excuses!! It's cold out there!! I'm not snacking, I eat a lot of Protein and I am careful to make healthy meals. However, I'm getting in NO exercise! I absolutely HATE the cold! I even have a gym membership, but I don't want to go outside to get there (I have Rheumatory and Psariatic Arthritis that I was just diagnosed with and I'm not yet in treatment). Cold=Pain. I thought perhaps it was all in my head, but I just got back from Arizona where I had hardly any pain at all. While I was there for 4 weeks, I lost 5 pounds. I'm now at 190. I took my daughter out to the parks and lakes and walked everyday. Not to get the exercise, but just to get out and enjoy being outside. I've been home for a week...and nothing! I know it's the exercising that I need to add in to get to my goal of 150... So, NewMeDebbie...I'll make you a deal. You stop snacking and I'll venture out into the cold to get to the gym...DEAL?? I need to get to 180 soon!!
