It sounds like you're doing awesome! My surgery is May 18 and I can't wait! I've been doing a pre-op diet and as of today I've lost 17.8 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks! I took a picture of me each and my face has shown a huge difference. It's not as chubby anymore. I love that! May 19, instead of the 18th. Sorry!

We can be surgery buddies! My surgery is Tuesday May 19. I feel really good about the surgery. I've been doing the pre-op diet for 15 days and I've already lost 15.5 pounds. I really believe I have my mindset going in the right direction!

I have BCBS too. I was first denied but then we appealed it and it took about 6-8 weeks before they finally approved it. However, BCBS had a security breach and that seemed to cause a delay. Good luck with everything!

I'm also doing optifast for a month. My surgery is May 19. I've been on it for about 2 weeks and so far I've lost 11.5 pounds. That's exactly what I'm doing.

Walden farms makes coffee creamer in several flavors. All are dairy-free, calorie and fat free. The flavors I know of are a regular one, mocha, sweet cream, and hazelnut. I was dying for coffee too. Now I can have it without cheating! ☕????

How's everyone doing on the pre-op diets? I'm on day 13 and so far so good! I'm down 10.5 pounds, 2.5 inches in my waist, and 2 inches in my hips! I've already met the goal they set for me. My dietitian even said good job, congratulations, keep up the good work! My dietitian rarely says that! She's strict but good!

Day 6- not too bad. I was hungry yesterday, but I didn't cheat! My first two days I lost 5 pounds. After that it's been slower. Not sure why, but after 5 days I've lost 6.4 pounds. That's exciting. I'm almost at my weight loss for next week. I'm just nervous I won't get to my goal my nut set for me.

I start my pre diet on Friday. I am a little afraid of the shakes and not eating. I know I can do a day or two, but for 10 days...it's going to be tough. Best of luck! Pass along your words of advice as you experience this.Today is my first pre-op diet day and man alive I'm trying so hard not to cheat. GOD HELP ME LOL Well it's been 4 days and I think I've gotten through the worst of it. Day 2 was horrible. I was so hungry, but I made it through. I have found out that it's a habit of mine. Just grab something because it's there. One thing I found out is when I'm preparing food for someone else and I made a mess or had a taste of something. I would just lick my fingers. Now I wash it off my fingers. Lucky you that has ten days of shakes. I have a month. On a funny note, last night I dreamed I ate a brownie and then I realized I couldn't have them. Immediately I spit it out and threw it in the trash! Thank goodness it was only a dream! Lol! ????????

Just finished my first shake. It feels really weird not eating. My entire life has revolved around food. It's almost like what do I do now?
