My name is Kari, I am 37. I am a full time office manager for two businesses. I had a lap band placed in September 2011 and will undergo a revision to RNY bypass on June 7, 2015 as my lap band has failed... My highest weight was 317 lbs. I was down to 214 in January of 2014 and had maintained for a while. I had a medical issue and after that began to gain the weight back, after numerous visits to various doctors it was discovered that my lap band is displaced on sitting on the top of my stomach not around the stomach. It causes me pain and I am so ready to have it removed and get back on with the weight loss. I do not have a specific goal weight as of yet, I am looking to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol and have less or no joint pain.
