I feel like I lost myself , became stuck up and shallow.
cnxn4 replied to gruiz27's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I felt the same way when I lost weight the first time around without surgery. I was shallow and thought I was better than any other woman out there at the time. And yes, I played guys like a fiddle. Over the years, my weight came back plus a hell of a lot more. That made me realize that when I had my surgery, I wouldn't do that. I guess that happens with age. I can't tell you to not enjoy yourself, because I did at the time. -
I didn't. But, this will be your new baby. The good news is, that you will have time to focus on your recovery instead of having to clean when you are still healing, which could take weeks. Good luck to you? That was supposed to be an exclamation point.

I took off a week and a half. My boss knew I couldn't do any heavy lifting and that made it a lot easier. -

Awesome!Kudos to you!! -
I don't know if I'm the exception, but, I was sleeved on the 19th and I feel better everyday. I am getting my fluids in and I started walking for 30 minutes today. I still have a little pain from my incision but I am feeling better. The first two days home were rough, but when I woke up this morning, I didn't have to squirm to get out of bed. I guess that was a NSV! Good luck to everyone.

I feel the same way. I was sleeved four days ago. But, I know that as long as I'm following the plan something has to come odf. My first appointment after surgery is next week, so if lose anything it will ease my mind.

That's some good advice. I never looked at it that way. I'm with you on that. I'm getting sleeved on the 19th. I'm thinking of it as a birthday now. Thank you!
