Hi everyone, my name is Stephanie, I'm.31, and i just had my lap band surgery 4 days ago, Feb 3rd..Im married and we have one daughter, who will be 7 this month. So I began looking into bariatric surgery almost 2 years ago, but never really took it serious. I've always struggled with my weight. I've always been chubby since I was younger, and as I became an adult, I just kept piling on the pounds. Its been so hard to lose. I've done dieting, pills, support groups, but never lost alot, or stuck with it
Two years ago we started trying to conceive, and found out I have PCOS, due to weight gain. So we prayed about it, and God opened the door for me to have this surgery. So I also was depressed that I couldn't be active with my daughter at the park, amusement parks, etc. My weight always got the best of me. I was always embarrassed to go to school functions cuz of my weight. I get anxiety really bad, start sweating and eventually would run out of crowded places, or avoid them all together. So, here I am post-op lap band, 4 days later, and the smell of refried beans is making me hungry, but I'm being strong. My hubby and daughter are so supportive. I am a lil scared cuz I have discomfort and this one pain I get everytime I yawn or stretch. Hoping I get use to the band, and the pain goes away. I hope to get encouraged and make new friends here..I will be praying for y'all..Nice to meet you
