When I got the checklist from my doctor each thing on the list had to be completed. Several medical tests to be sure your stomach, esophagus gallbladder, and intestines were clear and functioning. Also a breathing function test was done. Each item was a checkpoint for your individual Health situation as a preventative protocal to help prevent complications. Your surgeon will help you through this!!!! You are asking all the right questions!!!!!

Lady1putt replied to Butterfly85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations All! My sleeve was April 1....April Fools Day! We all need to celebrate! Started driving yesterday. I feel like I am free at last! Just kidding. Really impressed with everyone's walking distances. I need to get back with the program! Been walking those 10-15 minute spurts! Think I need to increase my times. Feel great....still losing everyday. Really exciting! Cause I know it WILL slow down. Want to savor this honeymoon! Linda -
Yes I agree it was pretty awful! Just keep walking and smile a lot! Keep them wondering what you're up to!! Do not go home til you are really ready. Keep pain at a minimum with the Meds! Best advice the nursing staff gave to me!!! Never let it get past a 5 on their "happy face" scale! Let us know how you are doing! Linda

I too as a trained school psychologist was nervous about this interview. Mine was so non-intrusive! Bacsically she took a dieting history! One more time!!!! LOL! Do not worry!
