  1. I figured I may have been slightly dehydrated, so forcing as much water as possible, not sure how long it's going to take to catch up to me. Thankyou for your feedback@@Joz31
  2. I never counted my protein intake before surgery, and I was doing fine. If I exercised, I gained muscle, if I didnt- muscle started disappearing. I never cared how many grams. The skinniest I ever was in my life, I just ate smaller. I ate kids meals. I ate less frequently. So why the hell does it matter how much protein/fat/carb I eat, if I only max out at 1000 calories. Am I really muscle wasting? Sick of the daily battle of drinking nasty shakes, I would rather have a chk nugget. (And yes, still losing)
  3. Thanks for the wake up call everyone. Sometimes I need a good hard slap, I have so many addictive behaviors..sometimes I just want an excuse to be naughty. But sigh, I got this surgery to prevent diabetes and heart disease and prolong my life and I need an attitude adjustment

Is There Such a Thing as a “Stall?”

Science of food and nutrition is sketchy at best. every year they re-define what was previously 'obvious' knowledge- saturated/unsaturated fats and cholesterol for example. Remember the low fat diet of the early 90s? Phen-phen (I think?) oh and calories in = calories out. I call total BS on that one. Not all calories are created equal. So this stall notion.. Who knows... No one has it figured out yet.
  5. Yeah, probably best if you didn't flaunt your stuff. It's not a safe place.

    STARTING ON REAL FOOD...SUGGESTIONS/RECIPES

My favorite is cream egg and toast, minus the toast. I make a scrambled egg, add sour cream (reduced fat), chopped vine tomato, fresh chives, salt/pepper. I also add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for fun. I watched you tube video on how Gordon Ramsay makes his eggs, really my favorite food video. All in all, takes me 5 min flat and fills the sleeve nicely.

    Need advice....

10 days post op was the magic number for me for the strenuous 1hr work outs, 5 days post op to try and get to 10000 steps!
  9. I lost 17 lbs of boob and knee fat. Still have a ginormous arse, but at least I can slap my knees together and hit bone. Still have several chins to lose, I am a bare chested fat face freak....my wrinkles are coming in quite nicely though . Guess these are the things people don't like to talk about post surgery, it's the truth. No regrets though, just venting.

    Need advice....

I like protein bars- the Atkins chocolate ones, they taste just like a candy bar. I work a lot, so I get a lot of kids meals and pick at them all day long, you can get pretty healthy ones too. I get the Panda Express kids meal with mixed veggies and teriyaki chicken- very tasty. I also eat a lot of eggs, my favorite is one scrambled egg with low fat sour cream, chives, diced tomato and just a sprinkle of Palm cheese. That's perfect sleeve size and only abou 250 cal.

Eat more, force the calories. You are teaching your body to slow down, your metabolism must be tanked. Lots of studies say eating that few calories is counter-productive. I was sleeve 2/16 and up to 800-1000 cal a day and I feel I my metabolism has slowed. Eat eat eat, and start reving up the green tea to get your metabolism boosted

going to be in a study

Nice, sounds like a bonus. They should pay for your surgery too (considering you are their guinea pig) but hey, take what you can get

    Question for the slow losers

Well, as long as I'm measuring my body fat percentage on the same scale every time and see it trending downward, what does it matter how accurate it is? And thanks for making me feel like sh**, btw. Sorry didn't mean to offend, I was aiming at the nutritionist, not at your progress (you are doing great, just keep at it)..I just don't buy into their supplements BS, got the money-hungry vibe from them. They will operate on anyone with cash in hand

    Sleeve to MGB Low BMI

That sucks, and what a waste of money! The rny surgery is all the buzz now
  19. I have a huge problem with this post op, I am already at the maximum suggested dose of an acid reducer. It works ok, but I have so much acid in me! It hard to eat solids, because this thick white foamy nasty acid goo is taking up all the room in my stomach. I throw up this crap all the time (which makes me feel instantly better). Have other sleevers experienced this? And how do you minimize it?

    Sleeve to MGB Low BMI

What do you mean the sleeve never worked? Are you able to eat a lot at one time? How much weight did you lose on it and how long ago?

    Question for the slow losers

@@JamieLogical I just had my 6 month evaluation with my nutritionist yesterday and she seems perfectly happy with my progress. Her goal for me was to be below 30% body fat by 6 months and as of yesterday I was at 29.2%. She doesn't actually care about weight, just body fat percentage. Her only criticisms of me were that I was only taking 2 Multivitamins a day, instead of 3 and that I was using Protein bars for supplementation instead of the brand of Protein shakes they push. Oh, and I was taking sublingual B12... she wants me on liquid B12. That nutritionist is kind of a quack, the way they push their brand of crap and scoff at any of your own methods. For that very reason, I refuse to buy any of their sh*t. As for as weight percentage goes, I also think it's bull (unless you get it done via professional Water test) I've had 3 different fat scales and they all vary by up to 20 percent.

able to eat more than I think I should

Nah don't be worried, liquids go in and promptly go out of your puch. You are just feeling up your intestines, I was worried too that I could drink all day long without a problem, mon top of that- I was starving. Wait till get to the solids, that's when you get to experience the joy of pressure and puking
  25. If you go to the occ they tell you that you have to have one..turns out they never check or ask
