28-29 BMI'er checkin in, I have surgery in a week...don't worry about it, I struggled as well with the decision to have surgery, and after taking some really really unflattering shots of me in a bathing suit, I am so happy about my decision. Sure I can wait and pile on some more pounds, exercise with knee pain, have crippling asthma, have my first heart attack at 32 (like my mother)-or I could get this under control. ..good luck, do it for you, not anyone else.

Uh because I am a food addict with poor impulse control. If you can't sew my mouth shut, the next best thing would be my stomach. I will figure t out from there

Haha nice, but these docs make it sound if I don't lose weight they won't operate, well by usa standards they sure as hell wouldn't becuase I am barely pushing BMI 29..I need to gain weight! Damn, why do I always get on here when I'm hungry

I came around to a decision of yes, the fat on my eyelid that I had previously cut out with a knife, is growing back. This eyelid fat reflects high blood cholesterol levels and goes hand in hand with heart disease and an early death. Time to grow up and get serious with a long term diet of eating less. Oh and vaping, I had to quit that.

I have a BMI of 29 at -age 30, I started some research 3 weeks ago, and now I have a set in stone date in 10 days in Mexico. I am scared I jumped the gun. I read posts from people saying they wish they would of done it sooner, well here I am at sooner and I don't know if I should go through with it...although family history is scary, and I've never been under a size 12..ever. I am only getting fatter.

The point of this is not ME thinking that I am going be able to eat all this good good stuff after surgery, but more of portion control. I have a big issue with portion control and food addiction, I dont wanna be told I can never have a few bites of the good life, hence why I think surgery is for me.... before I am 400 lbs
