Hi! Thanks for the reply! The way I got out of my stall was up my protein and eat a little more. I know we may not have an appetite, but not eating is not going to help us lose weight. Get moving! I had to increase my exercise. Nothing crazy, walking in place, lifting light weights or use an exercise band. Also getting your water in is a plus! These are just some things I did that helped me. It is a struggle everyday but its getting better. Stay motivated and think about how you will feel when you go to step on that scale and see 2??! Hard work pays off!

Just had my two month check in with my WL team. 297.5! Its been years since I've been under 300lbs! It feels so good that my hard work is paying off. It does take time, I did have a stall in weight loss for about week. I had to change some things then I started losing more. I weighed 386lbs bf surgery and loss about 40lbs during my 6 month nut class. Then I loss the rest after surgery. February 23, 2015. Surgery Date.

I'm one month out and just been diagnosed with a stomal stenosis. Days of vomiting and being unable to keep barely water down. I'm exhausted! I go for EGD or balloon stretching Tuesday, I hope this will help. Can someone please share their experience if you can relate. Will it get better?

Be strong! And it does get better!

Yes, I experienced the same! I had my dilation and I'm fine now! The doctor said I was pinpoint constricted! I might have to go for a few more dilations. Which sucks!

I'm doing well!! Minor pains in the abdomen area I guess from the staples and muscles healing. Still trying to get all fluids in and that's a task! But overall I'm good one day at a time! Thanks for asking!!

First night home from my RNY surgery. I'm overwhelmed with how to care for my wounds, staying hydrated and getting all the nutrients I need. I have to pace myself to get everything done. I know I can do it! Its just the beginning of a life long journey to a better me!

Its day one of post op from RNY surgery! Very uncomfortable but managing. Mostly the pressure from the air pumped into me during surgery. All looks good and can't wait to get home to begin my journey! Staying comfortable with meds. Up and sitting in chair sipping water 25ml every 30mins. Hope this gives some of you a glimpse of what to expect.

What are good brands of protein drinks or powder to purchase that are inexpensive. I am pre-op preparing to go on my week long liquid diet. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does anyone use EAS complete protein powder? Is it good to use for pre op and post op? I can't reach my Bariatric coordinator to ask. Thanks!

I've been overweight most of my life, I'm turning 35 in March and I put myself on the back burner long enough. I have 4 children and a husband who I love. But being a mom and wife, I neglected myself. Losing focus of my passions in life. Being depressed feeling like I have so much weight to loose (380lbs) now. My goal is 160lb. I never lost more than 40lbs. Trying diet and exercise. Weight watchers. Pills. Shakes. Medical weight loss programs. juicing. The list goes on. Some say this is an easy way out! They just don't understand, this is not a fix all cure all. Its a drastic aid to loose weight but its not going to be easy. We still have to do the work for it to be effective. I've researched this for years 10 to be exact. Contemplating weather or not this is right for me. I know the risk, commitments and the obligations that come with having a surgery like gastric bypass. It will be a whole new life style. But I'm ready! So the time is now! Good luck everyone! God bless your journey and story.
