How long was your hospital stay?
reebat replied to Mom0f3inOC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also had day surgery. In at 5:00AM, surgery at 7:00AM, then once I was out of recovery(don't remember the time) they kept pushing me to drink and walk and all I wanted to do was sleep. ( they were obviously pushing me so I could leave quicker ). I actually yelled at the nurse and said I'm not doing anything until I slept some more. So I slept a little more, drank my required amount of sips, took a walk around the floor, went to the bathroom and I was cleared to go home. Around 1pm. I felt ok, but I really would have preferred staying the night, and left alone. -

I am doing 8oz at a time of the soups and protein drinks, and I just sip them for around 15 minutes. I tried drinking decaf coffee and I am not able to drink more than an 2oz. So I think you will be able to tell how much of anything you can drink.

Having trouble getting your fluids down?

My biggest must haves has been my K-cup soups. Chicken, vegetable broth and cream of mushroom. I just pop them in the Kuerig coffee machine, and I sip on them all day. Has been keeping me from getting dehydrated because drinking plain water has been tough. You can find these soups on Amazon. They are called Minute Cup. -
@@no onions. They are called Minute Cups and sold only on Amazon. They have a very small website at www.minutecup.com, but they will direct you to Amazon. They are great.

Yes to the heating pad. I also used it the first week. Another must haves has been my K-cup soups. Chicken and vegetable broth and cream of mushroom. I just pop them in the Kuerig coffee machine, and I sip on them all day. Has been keeping me from getting dehydrated because drinking plain water has been tough.

Thanks brandy73- so does that mean you didn't have to go through the puréed stage either?

Do you mind sharing your phase 1 and 2 diet plan? I find it interesting how every doctors plan is so different. Thanks. -
I'm down 18. Most of that was last week and pre-op. This week has not been as fast. Only lost 4 this week. 50 to go.
-
Looks like we had surgery the same day, Jan 27th. You are almost ready for regular food? I'm jealous. This fluid is on my nerves. How much weight have you lost so far?
-
Oh my. Thanks for sharing this. This is the first I have heard of such an extreme diet. That's seems tough. Which phase are you currently on?
-
Wow. Congratulations.
-
I was sleeved on 27th and lost 18 pounds already (including pre-op). How about you?
-
So does that mean you were eating regular food after 4 weeks? That's great.
-
Thanks. I thought the 21 days of clear liquids seemed extreme from everything I've been reading.
