I am so nervous I am waiting now on my phone call for them to tell me what time to come in on monday. How long did you have to stay in the hospital? They are telling me until wednesday but my cousin went through the same center and was released the night of her surgery ????????

Congrats mine is Feb 23rd

Congrats, my bypass is scheduled for Feb 23rd. It was for the 16th but my GI revealed H-Pylori. My starting weight was 290 and now im down to 271. My goal weight is also 165-170 and I too am married with 3 kids. I never took any measurements but I plan to do so to get a accurate figure of weight loss. I lost almost 30 lbs due to the flu and I was told its the weight at your first visit that counts. Maybe it depends on the insurance. I have type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, asthma, and fibromyalgia with a bmi of 44. Feb 23rd is the big day. Stay positive and good luck!

Im in Ohio with a original date of Feb 16th that was rescheduled to the 23rd due to H-Pylori found during EGD.

I have UHC community plan and the process was fast and easy. I only completed 5 months weight supervised class, and pcp letter of support, but my surgeon required a sleep study. And thank god for that because I now have sleep apnea. I was approved in 2 days by UHC. Feb 16th is the big day. Good luck everyone!

Hello everyone Im new here. I had my PAT visitband upper GI done today and was positive for the H-Pylori. My surgery date is for the 16th but I meet with the surgeon on the 10th to go over test results from today. I believe I will be prescribed treatment tomorrow for this. Its amazing how the process of this procedure reveals health information we would not have known about. My sleep study revealed I now have sleep apnea. And now the upper GI has revealed H Pylori.
