  1. I need a buddy. I was banded in 2008 and did great. I lost 94 lbs and kept it off until sometime in 2011. My husband lost his job and our insurance in 2011. We have not had insurance since then to cover any fills or visits for my lap band. Was actually calling for a fill when he lost his job. Needless to say I have put about 40 lbs back on and I need it gone. I forgot how I felt at this weight and I don't like it. Stress of no job, comfort food, etc. was my excuse. I need someone who has been there and can hold me accountable. All the sites have changed so much. Even RealizeMySuccess.com is gone. I had my fill information there and my weight loss info. Is anyone willing to kick my butt? I have put the app on my phone for encouragement, cries for help, or whatever it takes kind of talk. I'm starting back to the beginning with my 2 week pre-op plan and going from there. My biggest problem has come from snacking too much and not drinking my Water. Meal size has increased some, but no where like it was before getting my band. There is even things I eat and I fill the band has restrictions. Who is willing to take on this mess and help me get back to where I need to be?

    Ilene...are we the only ones left? Congrats on the 6 lbs! I really want to get into the gym. Trying to figure out a time that will work an I'll stick with. Prayers for the 17th. Let me know how it goes.

    Hey everyone! I'm back. Wow I've gotten older and these trips are kicking my butt. No sleep on the ride down or on the ride back. The trip was great and the memories amazing. Welcome to all who have joined us. I think I have caught up on everything and ready to get back to work. New focus to get the rest of the weight off before a trip in September. No reason I can't do 5 lbs a month. I find have something to focus on keeps me going. Anyone else have any tips to help everyone?

    Glad to hear from everyone. I was beginning to get a little worried. Ilene...so sorry for all you are going through. Hopefully you can get some answer quick. Have a great trip and enjoy it! Hope.in.NY...great job! We are going to get there. Destynee...welcome to the group. Love having new people join in. Headed to Disney on Wednesday. Going to do a lot of walking and hoping to drop a few lbs while there. So ready for some warm weather. I'll check in when I get back. We got this! I actually felt good in an outfit I had on yesterday. Been a while.

    Hi Chez, Sorry I didn't read before I posted today. Welcome to the group! We are all at different places with our band journey, but love to have you join us. We each set our new start date and have been checking in. I had a big problem with snacking all day. Meals a little bigger then they should be and not drinking my Water. Oh, and I hate to exercise. Working on all of it and have ladies here to talk too and keep me going. You can do this!

    How is it going ladies? Holding here, but need to kick things in a high gear. Don't know if I'm not getting enough Protein or if this is a matter that I'm older an it's not going to come off as easy. My snacking if there is any is almonds or yogurt for the most part. I was am to go back down in a pants size. Can't get into all my 10's but it's a start. I'm trying to keep notes of the physical changes I see and the weight is coming off also. Right now it's in my stomach the most. It's going to be a great Spring day here! Hope the weather is nice there.

    I'm still here, Sorry things have been crazy busy. All is well and still hanging in there. Trying really hard to keep my portions in control. Keeping the snacking down unless I need a little something to hold me over. Weather is warming up here. I want to get out and start walking. Going to Disney in a few weeks and I know I be walking a bunch there. What's come off is staying off so I'm happy. It's a lot slower this time. Ilene thanks for the website. Had to mess with the link you posted, but I got to it. Some great information on there. Hope to check back in a little more often now.

    I don't have fitbit. Have been thinking about it though. Ilene...I'm in the same boat as you on insurance and coverage. Don't have it anymore. That has been part of my issue. The last I check around it was $500 for a fill also. At the time my husband lost his job I couldn't even think of going there. Once I get back down to where I was I really need to get a fill. If I remember I only have 4cc in my band. Has far a meals I do a shake a lot of time for Breakfast. Not a big meal for me. Lunch I high Protein and dinner has been a smaller portion of whatever I'm fixing the family. Cutting out Snacks and drinking my Water has been good for me also.

    Welcome home Ilene! Sounds like you did great. Way to go. Hi Chris. We would love to have you join us. I'm so sorry your hubby is not supporting you. I wish I had some wise words of wisdom for you. Try working one day of the gym back in and slowly increase over time. A thought. I try to check in a few times a week. More if I need a kick ???? Here is to a new week!

    I know Ilene is on the boat How is everyone else doing? Got back down a size in my pants! I was happy girl. One month to go to reach my first goal of 15-20 lbs gone. Looking more to be 15, but that is okay.

    Are you ok? We are going down to -1 tonight. The kids have been out of school all week from the snow. Monday was a holiday though. Doing pretty good here. Snacking is becoming less and less. Still drinking my Water, but that exercising thing hasn't made it's way back into my schedule. I really need to work it in. My hubby and I have the possibility of a vacation and it will require a lot of walking/hiking. I need to get myself in shape.

    Not a bad weekend. Has started snowing here and will probably be inside for a few days. They are calling for up to 12" in my area. We haven't had a good snow this season. Hoping I can be good with my eating while being suck inside. How is everyone doing?

    I had a day yesterday where I would have normally eaten everything in sight. Very emotional day at work, but that is another story. The worst thing I put in my month was a 1 twizzlers. I have to say I'm proud of myself. Still haven't made it on the treadmill. Today is my day off from work so errands and clean house. How much snow have you ladies seen in NY? Fingers crossed that we will finally get some on Tuesday & Wednesday here. Keep pushing forward. Every ounce counts.

    I love the checking in each day. We may be miles away from each other, but it still helps. I have to use the scale in the same means. It keeps me on track. I will say my make size has been good over the last few days also. I put the pacer app on my phone yesterday. WOW I don't do much walking, I'm a admin to two pastors and I not up as much as I thought I was. I'm sure some days are more, but I was surprised at how few steps I take. Until tomorrow ladies! Keep up the great work. We are going to get there.

    I so understand what you are saying about following the rules like before. My weight left me so easy then. I really could kick myself for letting this weight back on. Did I say I hate exercising?! I think so Water intake has been going great. I want to snack to much. Another day tomorrow.

    How was your weekend? Didn't do bad, but I need to write down everything I'm eating. Want to get a good picture of what's going in. Haven't done a lot of exercising. I'm not a big fan of this. Happy Monday tomorrow!

    Well, didn't stick with it yesterday so good. Had a donut for lunch , but only one so doesn't that count. Still overall a better day then where I have been. My days at home are so much easier then when I'm at work also. Exercising is on the agenda for today. Just getting in 64 oz of Water. Would like to do a little more so working on that also today. Have a great weekend ladies!

    Oh no. I hate days like that. You have a plan of action and it goes out the window. Just a thought for mornings like that, (hope it never a happens again) you are running behind or forget. Do you have somewhere to keep the pre made shakes at work? I do that just to help keep me accountable. Today will be a better day. My day was ok. Probably had a few to many bits of the food I was fixing for the family for dinner. Did have my shake at dinner. Water intake was good and got on the tread for a walk. Do have a question. What type of weight scale do you have? I can get on mine and get 5 different weights. Very hard to stay focused like that. I need to weigh myself everyday to keep on track. I know adding the exercising this time is going to change the loss some.

    How did you do yesterday? I did pretty good. Had almonds to hold me over between one meal an a apple the other. Exercising tonight. Oh and got my water in!

    Game on! I'm starting today back with the pre-op diet for 1-2 weeks. Would love to get that 12 lb jump again like before, but I know that won't happen this time around. ????. My first goal is to go down 15-20 lbs by the end of March. Going on a field trip with my son to Disney for marching band. Something I didn't have to do the last time around was exercise. I'm going to put walking in this time around for 3 days a week. This is my starting point anyway. Don't know if you ladies are ready today to start, but set your date and less gets this weight loss going again. Maybe we will get some more people to join along the way.
