I am just starting my path to a healthier me!  I'm nervous, excited, anxious and just plain ready to get it done and move on with my life.
 
I had my first appointment on 30 January and this week I'm working on getting all the pre-op requirements completed.  I had my nutritional counseling on Feb 2nd, my blood draws will be on the 4th, ultra sound of my gall bladder and EKG are scheduled for the morning of the 6th and my psychological eval is on Sunday the 8th!
 
I was told my insurance didn't require any supervised diet prior so hopefully once everything is completed on Sunday approval will move along quickly.
 
A little about me.  I'm an older mom with two beautiful children, a six year old daughter and two year old son.  They are one of the biggest reasons I have made this decision.  I want to be there for them as they grow-up and I want to be able to run and play with them instead of getting winded or sore and having to sit-it-out.  I was an avid horseback rider as a pre-teen and into my early 20's, an activity I would love to return to once again.  To me there is nothing more relaxing than being on the back of a horse.
