Hi. Im just seeing this. Was hoping we had another challenge. Please add me. CW - 237 Goal - 225
-
Traveling on business still. Weighed in yesterday at 236. Didn't meet goal but so glad I didn't gain based on my travel and eating habits this week. Thanks again for the challenge. Will definitely join the next one!!!!! Take care.
-
Hi @@stephh, I'm travelling on business this week. Haven't been able to weigh in yet. Will send by Saturday.
-
Okay - reporting in at 239 - up 2 pounds and totally understand why - didn't hydrate as much, workouts off track, yada, yada. Back at it now and know what I must do to stay focus. I'm projecting great results next week. Lol

Going to Mexico !
SleevedNFree replied to BigHarleyGuy1's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Congrats to you. Similar issue here - after paying very high premiums - because of high blood pressure, obesity... this over-paid insurance would not cover me. So off to Mexico I went after exhausting research of course. I'm almost 4 months out and feeling great. No regrets. Glad I did it! Wish you all the best.... -
A little over two years out and thrown right back into my fat days...
SleevedNFree replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
@@LipstickLady - well it's a good thing you were speechless. Otherwise, that guy would have gotten a "beat-down" by your words I'm sure. I agree with most on this thread - your weight is not his business AT ALL and not a subject of discussion EVER, especially for someone's husband mentioning it. I'd have to tell you that I may not have held my tongue at all. So your post just helped me not to slash the person who tries this with me. So hopefully it eases your anger a bit to know that you helped me. Well, maybe not. :-) -
Hi @@stephh - reporting in at 237 - wooohooo!!!!
-
Hi @@stephh, I'm a bit late with the weigh-in, but glad to say I'm at 242 - down 1 whopping pound. LOL. So glad for every inch and every pound that I get closer to goal and better health. Have a great week!

@@stephh, Reporting in at 243. Goal is 230. Thanks.

Anyone else have a runny nose when full?
SleevedNFree replied to meltingaway's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Okay - so this explains it all. My runny nose is when I'm full from liquids. A bit more gross for me is when I'm full, I actually have to spit up a lot of mucus. Very disgusting, but is a consistent sign that I'm full. I immediately stop - even if I've only taken a bite or two of whatever. Not sure where it comes from or why, but beats vomiting any day. -
@@stephh, You're the best for doing this as it's helping me stay on track....I'm definitely in. My goal is 230. I'm currently at 244. Let's do this!!!
-
Hi @@stephh, actually up 2 pounds - 245. Off my mark of 243. :-( looking forward to the next challenge.
-
@ Stephh - weighed in at 245 this morning!!!! Have a great day.
-
So agree with you and so happy for you. To God be the glory!!!!
-
Hi Steph, I weighed in at 247 today. Getting close to goal.
-
Hi Stephh - weighed in at 251 today.....
-
Hi Steph, no problem...yes that is correct....
-
Hi Stephh, hopefully I'm on the spreadsheet by now. Good news is that I finally broke that 3 week stall and happy to say I'm now at 251 down from 256 when I first reported at the beginning of the challenge. Yippeeeeeeeee. Looking forward to more.

SleevedNFree replied to theshrinkingdutchess's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi All. Great info here, very helpful. I was sleeved on March 4, 2015. Down 46 pounds which includes pre-op loss. Been in 2 week stall. However still losing inches. Started using MFP this week and wouldn't you know - too many carbs. Time to readjust. Wish me well to break this stall. :-) -
Definitely count me in. This is a first for me too and just what I need to help break this stall. Current weight - 256. Goal weight - 243.

Not losing anything? ?
SleevedNFree replied to tnf0920's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone for the informative posts. I was sleeved on March 4, 2015 and hit the 3 Week Stall and have stayed at the same weight for the past 2 weeks. While I've been getting in the 60g of Protein, I need to increase the water; I'm barely hitting 60 oz daily. I've got a number of things that can be tweaked to make it better. The good news is that what the scales aren't saying, the measurement tape is. So, I'm losing crazy inches, which is good, but I definitely want to improve the eating to balance this. I appreciate the helpful hints from the veterans who've been doing this for some time. I will take your lead and expect to do better, feel better, and see better. Huge thanks!!!!! -
@@CanyonBaby, absolutely love the positive approach and advice. Needed it more today. You are so right regarding the stalls. I was sleeved on March 4th. Lost 20 pounds during 2 week pre-op and another 26 pounds since the surgery. I hit a stall my 3rd week in and haven't lost any pounds in the last 2 weeks; actually gained a pound and then lost that. However, you right about taking the measurements. I declare the inches are indeed coming off. I tried a skirt on one day and then tried it 5 days later and it was much loser. I take my measurements monthly and I'm seeing 3-4-5-6 inches lost in several areas. I do need to stay off the scales and only check weekly - still struggling in this area cause I'm on it daily to see how the foods I'm eating are affecting me. Will go to a weekly weigh in. Now you mentioned something about having the Dr. prescribe something to keep the phantom hunger pangs at bay. I'm having really weird hunger pangs. I try to drink Water or Protein first to see if it goes away. What I've learned is that it's actually time for me to eat something. I would much rather not experience the pain as it is a bit uncomfortable at times. Please share any thoughts you have or the meds prescribed. Can't wait to call my doc for it. LOL

Sleeved in Tijuana March 2015 my experience
SleevedNFree replied to funkley's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Thanks for sharing your story. It helps for those of us who have gone through it to share this level of detail so others can learn. That's how I got my insight and understanding. I was sleeved on March 4th and my story closely aligns with yours. So grateful this journey has gone so well - down 44 pounds so far, but hit that infamous 3 week stall, but expect to start losing again. Keep up the good work and much success to you as you continue this awesome journey! -
