Hi fellow sleevers.... I started my pre-op diet last week. I'm using the Premier Protein - 30g two times a day. I may have to find another protein source. Not liking the fact that I'm starting to feel a bit constipated. Never had issues in this area and have been super regular. Can't afford to have this issue with the upcoming procedure in March. Anybody using different protein mix or drinks. Need some other options/ideas.... -

March 4 is WLS Day! Anyone else around that time?

Hi All, My surgery date is March 4th in Tijuana, Mexico. I wish you all success on this journey. I started my pre-op today and expect to drop at least 10 pounds before the surgery. #Automatic, I understand the nervousness. While I'm researching and reading like crazy, there is still a bit of nervousness - primarily with the waiting and anticipation of having my own experience - surgery, post-op, etc. It's good nerves, if that makes sense. So, here's to BETTER .......health and all that comes with it!!!!! All the best! -

Hi All, My surgery date is March 4th in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr. Lopez with Specialized Bariatrics. I too have done a great deal of research. Reading about others' experience, watching videos, and attending the seminars offered at the hospitals here in the states has been a huge help. I started my pre-op today. Although I'm only required to do it for 14 days, I decided to get started early to make sure my body is ready for the procedure. I look forward to hearing from all of you as you prepare for the next step in this "change-for-the-better" journey. -
Start to Finish- What to expect in Mexico for VSG surgery. (LONG very detailed post!)
SleevedNFree replied to shizwiz's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
ShiWiz, You did an awesome job providing the play-by-play on your experience. I got so many tips from your on what to expect and to take with me. I'm scheduled for surgery on March 5th in Tijuana, Mexico through a different surgery team. However, out of all of the posts I've read, yours has indeed provided the detailed insight (and laughter as I screamed out loud several times - especially about the recovery room competition - hilarious - LOL). I appreciate the detail and hope that I am able to pay-it-forward for others as you did for me. I am starting my pre-op a bit earlier than the 14 day requirement, so I'm starting it today to begin the process of eating smaller meals, eating more slowly, and truly giving thought to this whole life-changing-for-the-better experience. Thank you again for the wonderful story. You could have written another 5 pages and I would have read every word! All the best to you on your journey.
