Yay! I got down 2 protein shakes today and half of a hamburger patty! Hopefully that keeps me off the feeding tube!!! Just had to share 2 weeks post op tomorrow.

I'm on soft solids now. I've noticed dairy is just not digesting well. Anyone else? What irritates your sleeve.... I can't digest yogurt or cheese. I found a small slice of turkey goes down ok. I'm trying egg salad today. Just boiled egg with light mayo.. Hoping that goes down ok. Trying a small teaspoon at a time ... One step forward and one step back seems like..

I am 19 days post op and I haven't had any bm for two weeks. What do you all take? Milk of magnesia? I've only had about 1/2 cup food since surgery besides protein. So technically I really don't have anything to poop right? Sorry I'm so confused.

I'm in daily miralax now, hopefully that helps

I finally pooped!!!! Just had to share lol

I would go to the er if I was in pain. I've been doing milk of magnesia for two days now. I feel action in the gut and gas but still no bm.

I thought the no coffee thing was from the acidity. I'm 3 weeks out and I'm going slow. I feel good with soups. Maybe at 4 weeks I'll try different textures. Clam chowder went down fine but I took out the clams it was still awesome though.

It's so hard!! I right there with you... It's hard to stay positive but if you don't, you make it worse for yourself.. I just think back to times I would pig out and feel disgusting and horrible. Yes it tastes good and it's so comforting but then it's over and you feel like crap.... Take it one day at a time. I'm 3 weeks out and I still only get 2 -8.25oz protein shakes a day. Sipping water in between and maybe one bite of food. That's what it is. Yes, we go through regret but this was a permanent decision and now all we can do is make the best out of it... Hope you feel better knowing I can REALLY relate.

I made banana bread and I made the mistake of liking the spoon! Biggest mistake of the day. Anyone else...

I've been feeling great. Although today I've been drinking faster and tried to have my cream of wheat too close to my water and now I feel full. Like its in my throat and the only thing that will make me feel better is to throw up. I threw up like 2 times but very little. Has this happened to you? What helps? Is this restriction?

I'm about 3 weeks out. I haven't had any nausea until today. It hit me all of the sudden. I feel very weak too. Should I call or is it normal?

I've never had back pain until after surgery. I'm 3 weeks out and my back kills me everyday. I have one part that goes tingly and numb. It's horrible.
-
Thanks for that. I'll call.

Thanks... I haven't even thought of it. I had bm the first week but I haven't since. I'll take something in the am. What about a glycerin suppository ?

Congrats!!!

It's hard... I wish I could eat what I'm suppose to eat. Soft solids, but I just can't. I guess it's okay though, won't last forever.

Lucky!! I've been cooking non stop since surgery. Even though I can't eat, cooking is a stress reliever . All I can do is 2 protein shakes and one tablespoon per day... Plus the water. I wish I could eat 3 oz of tuna!

I love you

Hey ladies. I was sleeved 2/2. Feeling pretty good. Still struggling with fluid and protein intake but nevertheless I'm getting there. I can be on soft foods but I choose to take it easy because last time I tried something too heavy I regretted it. Im basically living off 2 protein shakes, 2 bottles of water and a small bottle of powered. I, like most of us, am a foodie and let me tell you.. It feels good to turn down food. I never thought I would be able to do it. I don't have a choice now and it feels good. When I feel down, I remember the long year it took to get approved and the joy I felt once I got approval.

I have the same problem. It takes me about 2-3 hours to get down one protein shake that's 9oz. I really don't have time to eat. I have to get up super early to start the process and take my steroid.. If I don't take that, water hardly goes down.

Wondering the same. I guess it's different with everyone. I still sip and I'm about 3 weeks out. I hope I can take bigger sips by summer time hot utah summers need hydration!

It's head hunger. It sucks. I'm almost 3 weeks out and I still can't handle hardly anything. Half a cup of soup and today I had tuna with shredded cheese and low fat mayo. It went down super easy but only one tablespoon. I was a full after... Stick to the diet and watch my 600lb life, it helps lol

I think my sleeve will be very picky. I can tolerate half a cup of soup, no chunks, that's it. But I'm still only 2 weeks post. I enjoy not wanting food but being a foodie, my minds tries to trick me. I'm 2 weeks post op and down 30 pounds. Feeling good
