Need to be supported ~ having issues with losing weight before surgery! I am trying to lose 10 pounds before March 6th (per doctor). And, I'm having a terrible time doing this. Live in TN and we are snowed in this week with snow/ice and all I want to do it EAT!!! Why is eating good so hard at first, feeding me salads and having to fix my family a meal is killing me. I know this is just the beginning of the rest of my life. But, I am begging for help and or advice on how to do this. I am using Fitness Pal App and that is helping

I just received my March surgery date and now I am freaking out. I guess after all these months of waiting and praying and hoping and thinking it would never happen. It has happened, and now I am scared!! 1. Scared of making the right decision 2. Scared of never eating (delicious crap food again) 3. Scared for pain 4. Scared of not getting enough Protein 5. Scared that my hair will fall out. 6. Scared of saggy skin 7. Sacred that I will not be the same person that I am today!!!! Is this normal of what I am feeling? Kim

@timeforjune What did you do for your liquid diet? What Protein shakes did you like? My surgery is scheduled for March 23, freaking out a little or LOT.

Have you ladies started your liquid diet yet? Or purchase your Protein shakes? Wondering what is the best "whey" (sorry had to throw that in) to go. And, the hopefully filling too! Are any of you coffee drinkers? I am already scared that I will miss this the most! Also, what about co-workers trying to talk you out of the surgery, what do you say to them?

@@Debbieduck4 thank you for your encouraging words. I feel better this morning, And, I do believe your right about the delay, there has to be a good reason why the doctor is asking for more test. So since you had your procedure in Dec how are you doing??

Hello all, I have been working on getting a surgery date since Oct 2014, yesterday I finally finished everything the surgeon as asked for. And, today I get a call wanting a EKG done and sleep study. Totally frustrated, in my head I am full steam ahead. I am ready, I am READY for this surgery. Has anyone else run into this situation with the doctor asking for more test at the end?

Yes, I was given a list of the tests I need to do, Labs, Mental, Upper GI, scope EGD, nutrition, and mandatory meetings. I have done everything asked. It just frustrates me that at the day I was to get a surgery date, I get more tests thrown at me. It worries me!
