I was banded May 21, 2008 almost 2 years... I was very frustrated the first year but I worked myself out hard. Now I realize I had no restriction...

Too funny, I remember being 120 and feeling "fat"...I should have been kicked in the head! But as they say hind sight is always 20/20.
I am thankful to be on this journey, I really beat myself up with guilt and self hate. I had to get my head right before I could get my body right... only makes sense now.
I am ready to start phase two of my personal training which is to start training for a Triathlon, I want to be focused not so much on actual weight and numbers but fitness as a whole. I actually signed up today and have the first informal meeting on Saturday...I'm excited and nervous but I can do fear! LOL
Thank you for the compliment, its been 20 years since I felt "pretty"... those words do mean a lot.

I'm very well thank you. I'm working on getting to goal number #2 which is 140~ I weighed in and had another 1cc fill yesterday...167! I'm getting there and have no complaints... just realizing that I had zero restriction the first year and now I'm working to get to my sweet spot.
Your transformation is inspirational, keep posting those pics! Than kyou for sharing.

Worried about weightloss

My two cents: Weight loss is difficult, as the past poster said, you have to be diligent this is not a MAGIC band. Neither GB or RNY or the band will make the weight go away there are things one HAS to do inorder to facilitate that loss. I for one had to change my whole life inorder for this to work...its working albeit slowly but I am thankful for every inch and every pound loss. I had to stop smoking, I had to change my sedintary life style and start moving and I had to stop the late night eating and junk food snacking. Was it easy? Hell no.. but its almost two years and I am so much better as a human being, so much healthier and happier. If its just about weight then re-think your options becaue these are life long changes that neeed t be made in order to have any success. If you don't move, you won't loss.
