gENhA replied to linlew's topic in Vegetarian or Vegan Eating
Fairlife milk is high in protein and low in carbs. Also Greek yogurt is a good protein. -

@@Beautyandbeyond, Have you noticed any improvement in your hidradenitis suppurativa post-op? I have it and want to get a sleeve, but am nervous I'll have one when I go to get the surgery and it will prevent me from doing so. Anyone out there had this happen? Thanks! -

@@bluesclues Thanks for the reply :-D Do you wear a pump? If so, can I ask for more details about that and if you wore it during surgery? Also, were you charged more being higher risk with Dr. Corvala? Thanks in advance! -
Type 1 diabetic looking into this surgery (need advice ♥)

Hi there! Thanks to all of you who have posted on this topic. It has been a huge help to me. I presented with type 1 diabetes as an adult and have ballooned since beginning insulin therapy about 3 years ago. My relationship to food has changed drastically and it just feels like a nuisance. I'd love to have less of a "need" to eat and am seriously considering the gastric sleeve. I can't afford one in the US and my insurance doesn't cover any WLS for anyone, so I have been looking at Mexico. Anyone on here Type 1 and had surgery in Mexico? Best wishes and success to all of you!
