I saw some of my family last night whom I haven't seen since Christmas also. I am not down that much more since then, but everything has shifted around a bit and the last 20 or 30 pounds really make a difference! My baby brother (10 years younger) said he had never seen me at this weight in his entire life. He is 38... That was hard to hear BUT he said it with such love and admiration as did everyone else. It was at this same birthday event last year that I told everyone I would be having the surgery. (Surgery was June 4, 2015)

Only thing is - as I ate the topping off 2 pieces of pizza and indulged in a cupcake (first time since surgery), I worried if they were looking at me and judging my food choices. I tried to not think of that and know that I make my own choices but as maintenance is looming, I am finding myself very fearful of what the next leg of the journey will be like.
