I'm with you. I'm 6 months out and sabotaging myself with junk food, no water and no exercise. I'm still losing very slowly but I'm sure I would be down a lot more than 52 pounds if I were doing the right things. Pretty much the only liquids I get in are sweet tea and coffee. For a while I had a water accountability buddy and I was getting my 64 in. That really helped. I think I need that again along with a food buddy to help me stay accountable with what I eat. I need to lay off the popcorn, Cheetos, cheese and crackers, chocolate, sandwiches... Oy!!! There's nothing I can't eat.

I really want to compete but need someone who's done it to give me tips on macros and workouts. And skin. Haha.

Right there with you! 9 weeks here. Grape flavor, ice and a straw get me further than anything but still nowhere close.

How have I only lost 4.5 pounds in the last month? I'm 9 weeks and 2 days and am 31 pounds down. How can I speed it back up?

i do fine on my protein, still don't get all my liquids in. Exercise... I don't really. Between 4000-5000 steps on an average day. Leave for work at 6am and get home at 6pm, then kids, cooking, blah blah blah, I just crash. -
I had the worst gerd prior to surgery. I'm talking lava choking me awake at night even on meds. Since surgery zero reflux and zero meds!

February Sleevers - how are you doing?
yogachick replied to healthiswealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Date 2/18/15. Surgery weight 240, current weight 213. Lost 26 pounds so far. Getting about 600 calories on average. Don't get all my liquids in. Not exercising yet since I'm pretty weak. No change in clothing size yet so that's discouraging. If I could just speed my way to through the next 14 pounds so I could see onederland again, that would be a huge motivator! -
Anyone compete in bikini after weight loss surgery?
yogachick replied to yogachick's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Ha. Yeah I don't enjoy looking at the figure or body building classes. But I definitely enjoy the bikini shape. That's what I'm going for. -

Ha! Yeah I went to a show this morning that my friend was competing in and it was so inspiring. I've wanted to do it for a long time. Now I have hope that I'll actually be able to! -
Anyone who wants in the Facebook group just send me a private message please

Yes that's on the soft phase. However, be careful because it has to be very very moist or it will get stuck in your throat. I speak from experience.

Any GERD sufferers who were still able to get their sleeve done?
yogachick replied to kjkeller102's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've had horrendous gerd for about 15 years. Like the kind where I would wake up choking on hot lava even on high does of ppi. My doc was willing to do the sleeve AND I haven't had a lick of reflux since! No meds either!!! -

10 days post op, chest and stomach pain, hiccups - OUCH
yogachick posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Today was my first day back at work and it went okay except for being extremely exhausted. Now I have the worst stomach ache and the worst chest pain I have felt this entire time, and now I've also developed extremely painful hiccups. Please help me either just get rid of the hiccups or fake figure out what the heck is going on. -

I finally ended up puking and felt a ton better. There was SO much that came up I don't understand! I only had half a sugar free fudge pop right before the pain started. -
Just bought a size 10 goal pants - am I being unrealistic?
yogachick posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have surgery in 3 days. I'm 5'4" and my healthiest weight post high school was 138 pounds and I was a size 12. I was in the military. As soon as I stopped that daily exercise is when I started ballooning. Anyway, I was searching for a size 12 goal pants this weekend and I didn't find anything that jumped out at me. Then, like magic, there it was. The perfect pair of Vera wang pants. For 5 Flipping dollars! How could I pass them up! The issue is...they are a size 10. The dream size. The size I've always wanted to be. So I bought them. Am I being unrealistic? Or do a lot of people actually surpass their goals and get thinner than they were in high school?
