What's wrong with lap band ??? It's better than both in my belief - your not cutting you insides or re routing them up in any way -

Serious Question. How is WLS the "wrong way"?
LPSteven replied to LipstickLady's topic in Rants & Raves
Some may think it's the wrong way to do WLS , yet with consistent bounce back to gaining weight. Per choice of what surgery you would work towards "if you did" I suggest lap band simply because they do not modify your stomach , by cutting or making smaller. The band is just a restrictive tool that helps us eat slower and realize what we are putting in our body. I've had the band for over 7 years and am blessed for making that choice - I have never gained a large amount of weight back : only 20 pounds is the most I've gained and and am able to loose easily -
I went in to 2-3 cc increments and liquids for 2-3 days. Slower eating clearly is ideal, yet was deprived of the protein, still needed more. Actually, my wife (lap band also) was having he hair issue sadly (it happens), but we got our vitamins and supplements in order with a protein shake(sip: may not drink all of it) , between meals . Big difference , welcome to message me for any other info : anything to help

With the protein shakes, catalyst (supplement), and a few other supplements I've used helped out a lot. Use to go to GNC pick up a big bucket of whey and it just wasn't right. With our band we can do a lot of things more natural if we just give ourselves the ideal supplements we are required to take. First, to avoid deficiencies (especially men) and to ideally keep ourselves at the ideal goal weight or strive to the ideal goal weight. Welcome to help in any way

Can only drink like flat coke zero , yet have been just drinking the spark vitamin packets - they seem to help me out with the craving. Welcome if interested to message me. Hope this helps :-)

Hit my Plateau as well my wife after 4 years of having the band and noticed a serious change of the supplements (required) and "yeah" doing great. My bones actually started to hurt, thus telling me something needed to change. Even set up my semi-monthly challenges rotate work out methods and seems to be fun. Vitamin water and supplements really - "Sparked" it

Vitamin water and protein shakes, various broths (chicken or beef). Remember any adjustment , the body does take some time for healing. Even had the supplements delivered to the house. You'll get there Hun , keep strong and persistent.

LPSteven replied to Size66's topic in The Guys’ Room
Have to change your routine every 2-3 weeks so your body doesn't get accustom -
Have to say I've dropped about 40 pounds with the various new positions : and everything got bigger for me . 5' to 9 1/2 (no bs) no problems shaving either for her now. Much more confidence in the bedroom and mirror welcomed . Lmao actually caught myself posing. Another good reason to keep the weight off

what is great that you are really focused on what you want to do. Personally Lap band I did 6 plus years ago as well my wife and will never look back. Amazed and we have been successful for over 5 years now. Insurance did cover the lap band and kinda likes lap band a little more since the risk aren't as much with the side affects. We haven't seen our doctor in almost 4 years now, once in a while he will give us a call just to see how is number one success couple is doing, but other than that we both did the nutrition program 4-6 months prior to surgery. I really like the fact that with lap band , it can always be removed and non of my internal organs was altered in any way. Now , don't get me wrong my mother has the Sleeve , yet her situation (age, weight, health) did require her ideally to work with the sleeve. -
same boat as everyone else here with the B12 , yet in time I managed to keep everything at a norm by using AdvoCare and some pf there supplemental products. Even was able to stay away from coffee now which I never thought I could do with there "Spark" . this is big for me to say because I love Dunkin Donuts coffee.

3 months out from IBand surgery how much weight should I loose?
LPSteven replied to mommy3gymsoft's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think really and my Doctor said the same thing once I got down to my goal weight he set me at which was 190 and I actually got down to 185 "awesome" right ? Sadly no, for me I was a large man all my life and when i reached the 185 mark, really looked like I was using drugs. I even was drug tested a few times from my employer > guess they had thoughts of me on something ? Anyways, I actually work towards gaining a little weight just to look and feel healthy. That is what the weight loss surgery's are for to get your body to a healthy way of living. So with that I gained 30 pounds just to look normal and not all bones at the beach. funny how I use to be bullied all my life for being Fat and when I got so skinny, I was being picked on like I was skin and bones. Ah the way life sends you humor.
