Do you guys feel normal? Long Term Sleevers
Stella S replied to AchieveGoals's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I spent a lifetime watching my weight I donโt think that will change I will always be aware. Sleeve 2015. Days go by and I donโt actually consider the surgery - my focus is on health. I can do so much more .... let me include I work in an environment where pretty much everyone is health focused 60% to 80% of the time. Yeah normal. -
Keep going as you change it up!!! I agree on alternating days. I am working off a 10 lbs regain and as I am carb sensitive bread is not happening I count calories and protein and avoid carbs. Best to you as a send cheer your way!! PS I do not lose if short Iโm sleep. ๐ป๐ป๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ

Whose goal weight are you using? Your own or your program's?
Stella S replied to Uterno's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I did not have a program so much as a surgeon. Despite having the excellent certificate it was approximately five appointments in total. Their goal was 145 lbs. mine is 125 lbs. They certainly are able to increase their success rate if the goal is still in the overweight category. Post op visit 3 with one of the staff they presented me with a $300 doctors bill for weight management and I never went back. Established good wait for myself with my internal care provider who is my go to for everything health related. -
I like isopure drinks and drink Premier. The Premier Company was found to be overstating the amount of protein in each drink. - https://theclassactionlawsuit.com/premier-protein-shake-settlement/amp/

OK eating was interrupted Yesterday 4:00 coffee with coconut milk -40 cal, 10:00 isopure drink grape- 160 cal, 4:00 protein shake - 160 cal, 8:30 3 oz spicy sesame salmon, salad greens and lemon juice - 300 cal, 10:00 5 oz white wine- 120 cal. Totals. Totals 800 cal. 100 G protein. The rest????? Not a good nutrition day
-
Dropped off the challenge as work interrupted. I have Not cooked and been relying on protein drinks to get by. Here is my Sunday happy moment - despite my weight skyrocketing 4 lbs in 24 hours I fit into pants from pre-June surgery. Was on my feet working yesterday and today so distributed swelling. Plus booked next weekend in Rehoboth for some end of summer beaching. Hoping to be able to shimmy into shortss!!!

Fight, fight, fight and fight
Stella S replied to SeattleLady's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Keep the appeals and bury them in covered specialists. Drop money into a pretax health saving account if you think about out of pocket. Canada May be an option too. -
How is the job and nutrition going? Nuts, jerky or cheese may be options before pastry

shaving/deodorant after arm lift ALSO exercise?
Stella S replied to mousecat88's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Whoops - arm exercise was 6 weeks to prevent pulling on skin and increasing scar - arm skin is sooo thin. Also I use the silicone scar tape rather than a topical cream. For about 5 months. Arm scars were the ones I hoped to minimize. -

Bonus: no hair growth in arm pit region post surgery. Ditto clean lines following LBL and thigh lift in pubic region where hair does grow up to incision line. Arms - no hair. This was expected for me. As for deodorant - 3 weeks As I do not use anti-perspirant I can not speak to that. ๐ผ๐ผ -
So glad Fluffy and your MD were spot on. Having spent a month on 7 antibiotics be mindful of your gut Seems like you really on top of it!! Honestly with the inclusion of transgender at work I lov tee addition of the single use lavatory Privacy. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

Antibiotics and hunger? I hade to eat so much but my scale is creeping down about pound. Nuts and jerky live in my desk. - 10 minutes to use lavatory, eat and write notes means these things happen at once - well not quite but I can not imagine the flip from getting off at essentially midnight and being back 6 hours later. Lack of sleep equals carb cravings and being grumpy. Yes to black pepper with cottage cheese - I officially eat 2 of your guys days - Aug 6: 4:00 1 c nonfat yogurt with raspberries 190 cal, 8:00 Blacold brew with almond milk 80 cal, 10:00 isopure drink 160 cal, 3:00 3 oz chicken, green salad and lemon juice 280 cal, 8:00 protein bar 180 cal. -890 cal 110 G protein

Wonderful and congratulations!!!!

See if your doctor can stabilize on what medicine you will take after surgery be sure to have a plan. No-polar May be a biological condition but environment plays a part. Changing providers is tough enough - good on you to make sure your psychological health team is 100 percent behind you. Also never be afraid to ask for a bridge prescription 5 to 10 days to make it to next appointment. Running out of meds as a very very very dangerous situation. Very excited for you. Best!

I would consider a wine and soda spritz with a very dry - low sugar option for the wine. Over ice with citrus squeeze. Beer over ice and wine over ice. Rum has too much sugar for me so I get that sweat and nasty feeling. The rates of post WLS and alcoholism are alarming. The consumption of alcohol is another body changer but not as readily discussed. Gin at times has lower proof. - I was a bartender in college.

Maintenance is a scary place after a lifetime of being in a weight loss strategy A previous post stated an increase in comfort as we realize that there is a degree of control over physical body After finally reaching goal and staying there. I thought I was in menopause for a year then when I gained a few lbs to 125 I was not. Hmmm I added a fourth high fat snack like nuts or deviled eggs to stop the loss. I ocused on my exercise and took up a new hobby. Enjoy - this is when our wardrobe starts to last more than the season and our focus increases.
