Hope you are healing. Have to let us know the outcome!!!! -
Sheri bear - sorry about your friend and hope the prognosis improves One of the few people I spoke WLS was a friend who gave me her too small clothes as she gained when I was at my largest I 100 percent know WLS would have saved her life. I never pushed and she supported my decision Different choices different paths. I am alive and she is not. Do not tell me obesity does not kill.

My Plastic Surgery Thread
Stella S replied to sillykitty's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Cost of complication. So my 3 surgeries were local and in DC. Self pay. My health insurance covered labs, prescriptions and pre-surgical insurances Final surgury was a thigh lift with a 50 to 75 percent complication rate. I ended up with a seroma infection and a wound separation. Met my surgeon at the ER and there was no charge for his procedure but of course the ER was about 1250. I submitted to my health insurance as it does cover wounds but have not heard back. Another 2 procedures were done to control seroma drainage with infection in office. No charge. Countless e-mails with photos. I ensured from jump that the PS would cover complications from first surgery with no additional service charge for something like 6 or 12 months. While healing. I get facilities like OR and ER charge. I had no problems with LBL BL or arm lift. For me I wanted to stay in the states have access to the doctor and yes a focus on body contouring When a doctor treats another doctors complications they assume a ton of liability and risk. The ER doctor I saw while I waited for PS was clueless as to the groin wound. Needed the tools and morphine of the ER. I hope this helps. I would choose the same doctor if I had it to do all o Er again. Same procedures -

So if an MD does not charge a consultation fee it is passed on to the people who actually have surgery That said every DC PS I consulted with did.nott charge. My totals over 3 procedures was just about 50 k. A bit less. Worth it! -
Keep being the healthiest you possible. For me this included giving a pass to some comments said about my loss. Now I think few even remember 2015 pre sleeve. You do you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Movies and shows are generally not part of the agenda. Spent time with hubs walking my 5k route and matched the distance in a hill section of the city Sunday. Lost a s’mt ton of strength and endurance since June and am fully freaked out. Managed 30 minutes elliptical and 50 sit ups last night while I was not watching show. - again not pleased. No Café Sunday but picnic which ought to totally count. I brought my korean coleslaw which as ll the food I ate. Spontaneous- went to Paris to lick some wounds after a relational upset. The only time I purchased a ticket after arriving at the Airport with a carry on.

Resident Hospital for Plastics
Stella S replied to JerseySleeved22's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Those prices make mine look like it was an absolute sale. My arms8600 LBL and BL 2400 and thigh lift 12500 or so. I chose a local MD He gets people from about the country for his work not prices. NJ is not too far out. Keep looking. For m experience and access were huge. -
Ms Fluffy. 100 percent! Funny thing about tomorrow is it is always a day away!!! Right now is this moment.

A couple weeks then. Yes my arms and thighs were each outpatient. My PS did the side skin with arms An office procedure is new to me too. Nerves I get. It is scary to be cut on. B brave and ramp up protein ❇️❇️❇️❇️❇️ A procedure I did not pursue was bra line that removed skin from back. Best to you. -
MS Fluffy - happy you are legal. Happy always to read your sassy wise and compassionate words. 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼

Forever a WLS patient. MI75 that is me to. I will have to fight the fight likely for life. I am ok with it. Log everything especially the occasions. The ride of the loss was spectacular but the work of choosing health is just that work. As an aside I think I am down 3 or 4 lbs of my regain in last month ,Not sure what was post surgery swelling from June but I will humbly take it. Maintenance for me is just that a humble experience. So vets checkin each week. Update?

Lies to tell people about what surgery I am having
Stella S replied to a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Each of us tried an approach that would allow best support on this journey. Room for many options. Between my sleeve and 3 additional surgeries i have taken over 17 weeks of leave since 2015. It’s meeting my employers needs while assuring coworkers it is not a big worry. Room for us to seek social support without social engagement from coworkers. -

And there it is. Good for winter break and the New Year! -
Glad to learn you are finding methods that work for you. Has the work pace slowed or come more predictable? Maintenance for me has been a dance - and harder than the rapid loss period.
